Welcome to the Golden Awards 2018!
This account is aimed at celebrating diverse literature within our Wattpad community! We've all experienced the struggle of having to go to extreme lengths to find stories in which we are able to connect to the characters because they look like us and our lives. By celebrating the those stories our hope is to make them more accessible to an audience that will appreciate them.
We are very excited to be launching these awards as it is our first project on this new account!
These awards will take place over the course of a few months with each round taking a few weeks. There will be various categories in which nominations and self-entry will be accepted. All genres are welcome unless otherwise specified based on the category.
Due to the fact that we are dedicated to Black Literature, only work written by black authors that contains black characters will be accepted.
All further information will be released at a later date as this is just a brief overview.
