1. All entries must have a minimum of eight posted chapters.
2. The author must be Black as does the main character. The supporting cast can be of any race. Diversity is preferred and encouraged.
3. There must be a diverse cast.
4. Unless the story is completed, it must have been updated in the last six months.
5. Nominations are allowed but the author must be made aware either prior or post entry.
6. Entries from only select genres will be accepted as the number of judges is undetermined. It is unlikely that we will get enough judges to cover every category though we will try. Therefore, to be eligible a book must be labelled under one of the following genres: Teen Fiction, General Fiction, Romance, Fan Fiction or Short Stories.
