Having being a member of the Akatsuki, it was rare having a day off. But when these days did come around, you tried your best to relax.
It was rolling around 2:30am and you were struggling to get to sleep. You were tired, but you just couldn't bring yourself to fall asleep. You tossed and turned, shuffled pillows, and tired reading a book for a little while. Nothing was helping you.

You turned to your side and laid there for a moment, staring at the wall.
You sighed.
"Maybe I'll try and make some tea"

You rose up from your mess of a bed and proceeded to walk to the hideout's kitchen to make some tea.

As you made your way to the kitchen, you noticed that the TV was on.
(The hideout's living room is across from the kitchen)
It was on mute and it didn't appear that anyone was watching it.
"I'll turn it off on my way out"

You carefully navigated through the kitchen to find a coffee mug and the tea bags. Once you had those, you went to get the milk so you could put a bit in your tea. Opening up the fridge, the light from the inside creeped out, lightning up the kitchen. You scanned the inside of the fridge, looking on every shelf, but you couldn't find the milk anywhere.
"What the hell? Where's the milk?"

You decided to take one last look when you heard someone shuffle on the couch. You closed the refrigerator and slowly walked toward the couch.
"Hello?"

"Hey" Replied Deidara

He was lying on the couch, shirtless, with a blanket covering his lower body. He had one arm rested behind his head and he was drinking the gallon of milk you had been searching for with the other. You scorned at him.

"What are you doing with the milk?"

"I'm drinking it. What does it look like, hm?

"Deidara! Don't drink straight from the gallon! That's disgusting! Use a glass!"

You tried to grab the gallon back from Deidara when he quickly drank the rest of what was left in the gallon.
You grunted

"You're a jerk, Deidara"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever"

You let out a sigh and sat yourself next to Deidara. You glanced at the TV only to find some sort of action movie on. The character in the movie was fighting someone on top of a building as a random explosion went off in the background.

You stared at the screen and yawned.

Deidara looked at you and asked
"Why are you up, anyway, hm?"

"I can't sleep. I was going to try and make some tea, but some douche bag drank all the milk"

"Really?! Who's the douche who drank the milk? Well, that sucks, well I've been up since midnight watching movies, and I'm still not tired"

After a few awkward moments, you crossed your arms as you felt your body shiver. It was getting pretty cold.
Deidara took notice of this and lifted up the blanket that was on him, inviting you to snuggle next to him. You thought about it for a moment, and then decided to take the offer. Deidara may be stupid sometimes, but he was cute and charming in his own way. You didn't want to admit it, but you had a crush on him.

You crawled next to Deidara and got comfortable, feeling the warmth of his body overwhelm you. You almost melted at the sensation, but you didn't want to overstep your boundaries. So you didn't sit too close to him. After about 20 minutes, you felt Deidara slowly put his arm around your shoulder and he slowly tugged you to come closer. You glanced at the blonde and he gave a closed-eye smile. You then leaned your head into his shoulder.

As the movie ended, Deidara flipped a few channels until he found something else to watch. He stopped at a show that appeared to be some medical drama.

"Is this okay, hm?" Deidara asked

"Yeah, this is fine"

Deidara let out a deep breath and you felt his hand on top of yours. He started to intertwine his fingers with yours. You hesitated for a moment and Deidara pulled is hand away.

"I'm... I'm sorry" He apologized

"No, no. It's fine. You just startled me, that's all"

But it wasn't that he startled you, it was that you were nervous. You liked Deidara and you were honestly surprised that he was acting this way.

You then reached for Deidara's hand and locked your fingers with his.
Deidara turned his face toward yours and you looked deep into his ocean blue eyes. He placed his forehead against yours and whispered

"Can I tell you something, (Y/N)?"

"Yeah, of course"

"I really like you..."

Almost immediately after saying that, he blushed and looked away, starting to let go of your hand.

"I'm sorry. That was stupid and I shouldn't have said that. I know you don't like me back and I shouldn't have made you get this close to me. I'm sorry-"

You cut Deidara off by grasping his hand tightly with yours.
You placed your other hand on his cheek and whispered

"Deidara, I like you, too. I...sorta always have"

His eyes widened in response and a big smile crossed his face.

"That's good news, because I've been working myself up over it, hm!"

You both chuckled and embraced each other tightly.
Deidara then pulled away form the hug and placed his lips onto yours. You closed your eyes and kissed back, trying not to crack a smile.

Deidara pulled back from the kiss and asked

"So... Does this mean we're dating? Hm?"

"Only if that's what you want it to mean, silly"

"Hell yeah it does"

You both kissed again and decided to sleep in Deidara's room.
Once you got in bed next to him, you laid your head onto his chest and you both fell asleep right away
