Now You Tell Me - Chapter Five (Part One<3)

(Part One)

Max's POV

I watched from a distance as Mr. Mystery pulled Brooke out of the kitchen and away from the crowd of people in the kitchen who hated Brooke for no apparent reason.

"Well... Who the hell was that?" Drew grinned, glancing towards the direction Brooke and Mr. Mystery had ran off.

"Damn Drew, that's... That's Mason Adams..." Someone random said, leaving a hint of suspense in the air.

"Who the hell is 'Mason Adams'?" Drew asked, smirking slightly while running a quick hand through his short, dark black hair.

"Mason Adams is like, the richest, hottest, smartest, most badass guy in this state. Anyone who messes with Mason Adams is going to get their ass beat. I heard, one kid messed with Mason's girlfriend and Mason put that kid in the hospital for 14 months..." the same random person said, answering my brother's question.

"If he's such a badass, why was he defending that pig? And why have I never heard of him?" Xavier asked, reading Drew's mind out loud.

"I don't know... I think I remember somebody telling me that Brooke is his like, best friend or something. And Mason lives in the Upper East... He comes down every once in a while, but everyone knows him where he lives. His parents like, invented something so they're super rich. He's only 16 but he's already taking advanced college courses. He was voted hottest in the entire district just last year. I don't know how you haven't heard of him.. He's like a god." That same someone answered again, telling us Mason's life story.

"Hm... I still don't see why he was with that f-ugly whore..." Drew and Cody shrugged simultaneously as the look of confusion grew on Drew's face.

"Okay, Drew... One, F-Ugly is just retarded. If your going to insult someone by calling then fucking ugly, at least take the few seconds to say the extra six letters in 'fucking'. And two, Mason is with Brooke, notice how I actually said her name and not 'pig' or 'whore' or anything else that is something an asshole would say, because he has a heart. Unlike you, Cody, Xavier, Kole, apparently me, and the rest of the goddamn people in this house. You heard Mason... Leave Brooke Davis the hell alone," I wanted to say, but I couldn't find the heart in me to stand up to my heartless brother and everyone else. Instead, I settled with a shrug and a small 'Eh'.
