Black x Reader| Starter Encounter

Part 1🤗

Arriving at Professor Juniper's lab, you quietly stopped at the door, reaching for the handle.

You sighed.

The reason you were becoming a trainer was to get away from your parents-they were a nuisance.

Always constantly arguing and nagging and forcing you to pick sides.

Sometimes, when they dragged you into their arguments, they would mentally, and sometimes even physically taunt you.

So you decided that today was finally the day you let them go.

The day where you finally lived your own life.

Your fingers brushed against the door handle.

You sighed.

"Maybe I'm not ready for this."

True, but you weren't ready to go back home either.

You felt something weird in your stomach...

Adrenaline.

You hated that feeling. But the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

Just as you were about to open the door, it swung open and got wacked in the face with the door.

"Aggh!" You cried out, clenching your now red nose.

"Hm? Oh Arceus, are you alright?"

A boy with black hair and a red cap had helped you up.

"Sorry about that. I'm Black."

"Y/n."

"Cool name!"

You were confused, but, yet you were comforted by this boy's friendly and welcoming aura."

He helped you up.

"Why are you here?" Black asked, looking over your body to make sure you were feeling okay.

"I'm fine," you replied to his worried looks.

"And I'm here to chose my starter Pokemon.

"That's great!" He said cheesing. "I already chose my partner-wanna see?" He asked.

You, being to nice of a person said "yes" And sat on a rock next to the lab.

"Go, Tepig!" He shouts, the Fire Pig Pokemon happily bursting out of its ball.

"Pig! Teeeepiiiiiig!"

"Aww."

The three letter word escapes your lips as you watched merrily as the Pokemon ran circles around Black.

"You wanna come in and choose the Pokemon yourself? I can help you out if you want," He offers.

"Yes."

"Okay then, follow me!" He says, opening the door while saying, "Ladies First!"

Giggling, you walk in as he follows and closes the door behind him.

"Hello!" Professor Juniper, the Unova region's leading Pokemon Researcher, greeted.

"Black...your back."

"Sorry! I accidentally hit her with the door, and she was already coming to receive her first Pokemon so I offered to help her!" Black responds.

"Okay then," Juniper says simply as she walks into a room.

"Come along now!"

A Snivy and an Oshawott soon race out into the room, Snivy shooting Bullet Seeds at Oshawott, trying to defend itself with its scallchop.

You looked down, eyes scanning the starters.

Once they noticed you, they both attempted to charm you with their personalities.

Ultimately, you went with Oshawott, Snivy sighing in defeat.

As you and Black said your goodbyes to Prof. Juniper, Black turned around towards you.

"Aaaaaggh! I've decided!" He protests.

"We're going on a journey together!"
