What Separates Them From Her

As the days and months went on, GoM continue to win each and every match, not finding any equals or ones who could match them. Then, one of them begin to get stronger than the others.This is when tension begin to break the once happy team.

Shinobu was finally used to this school and her friends made it all the more easier and fun. She had not had a moment where she was sick again, and she even joined a band after the school festival. All in all, she was happy with her middle school life. She didn't have band practice since everyone in the band had plans. Also, their music teacher said there was an agent who had watched their performance at the school festival and they might have a music deal. With free time and a happy smile, she heads off to see what the Generations of Miracles were up to.She had heard they had a new coach since their last one fell ill for some unknown reason. As she opens the door, she was not prepared for what was going on.

"Stop arguing!"Momoi pushed her arms to hold back Aomine and Kise."NO!I WONT STOP!"Midorima was standing off to the side as usual with his arms crossed. Kuroko was talking to Akashi, but it did not look like he was listening or caring. Ironically, Murasakiraba was nowhere to be seen. Shinobu did not know what to do, but continue to walk through the door. The door closes behind her with a loud slam as everyone turn to look at her way. Everyone froze in place almost as if they were a painting. "Oshino-san, this is not a good time for you to be here,"Midorima was the first to speak. His words weren't always this cold, well more than usual. Shinobu could feel the tension suffocating her and making her throat dry. More than this feeling, she's felt she should at least try to find out what is going on. She never seen the Generations of Miracles so divided before. What could have happen in the matter of a months from them having fun at the festival?

"But isn't there something wrong? I want to help if I can.We're friends, aren't we?"Shinobu speaks up and look to each of them, but their eyes all darted away from her. Momoi and Kuroko were the only ones to nod and agree with her."This doesn't concern you! You are not a part of the Generations of Miracles, anyways! You are just another groupie like the rest of this school! Stop saying we are friends!" Aomine lashes out at her after he finally untangle himself from Kise as the tension grew in the room. The gym was dead quiet as everyone look away and down.

Then, a small voice was heard."I never once focused on your talents. I care more about you all as individuals. After all we been through, you think I wanted to be your friends for popularity?Is that what you think?"A chuckle left Shinobu, but Momoi look up in time to see Shinobu was holding back her tears and the pain from the words.She wipes her tears and breathes before crying out,"At least look at me you idiots!"she cried, but the four didn't. Another hiccup left her then a squeak of the shoes and a slam of the door signaling Shinobu had ran out of the room. "Shinobu-chan!" Momoi rushes to run after Shinobu not before glaring at the GoM.

Momoi thought she would never catch up with the blonde student as she ran until she got tired. She was holding her knee as her other hand was being gripped by Momoi's hand. "Shinobu-chan, he doesn't mean that."

"How can you be so sure? They wouldn't even interrupt or say anything different," she turn to her with her face, rosy red from crying. "Would a groupie help them study? Would a groupie share their lunch even when that's all she could spare? Would a groupie work her ass off making a song to thank them? " Momoi was taken aback by her friend's outburst. The boys' attitude really hurt her so deeply. She thought if anything it hurt her worse because it came from Aomine and no one tried to say they didnt feel the same. She did not know what more she could say as her friend continue her rant. "If I was a groupie, why did they care when I was sick? Why spend anytime with me if I am just using them?" She stop for a second to catch her breathe as she cries,"I..thought...we were friends. Why be so close to me or-"Momoi cuts her off for a moment and ask the question that made her friend stop.

"Are you sure you're mad at the boys or are you really mad at Dai-chan?"

Her eyes widen then refill with tears as she nods as she remembers the moment on the rooftop with the two of them alone."Why did he said that, Momoi-senpai?"She continues to cries as Momoi wraps her arms around her.

From a distance, someone heard everything she said. He frowns and grits his teeth,"Damn it!"

After crying, Momoi decide to go to Shinobu's house after practice was done. Shinobu went home and focused her mind on taking care of her siblings until Momoi showed up to explain everything.
