Regina felt hot tears trying to break free of the containment of her tear ducts. She couldn't believe it had actually worked, that all of that parallel world nonsense was actually real, and she hadn't just been spiked. She had managed to save Emma, and now all she had to do was to be brave enough to admit how she really felt about the blonde. But that would be a lot harder than it sounded, you see Regina had a way with words, she could manipulate people with them, make them twist  to her very will. But being vulnerable with herself was hard enough let alone with someone else.

The blonde studied Regina's expression, the woman looked conflicted, like happy and sad all at the same time, maybe she was just in shock that Emma had managed to survive, what should have been a death sentence to any other person. Little did Emma know, that her survival was only down to Regina and Zelena, who had literally gone to another world for her. Regina had decided to keep that quiet, she didn't want Emma thinking she belonged in an insane asylum, now did she?

Suddenly Emma, felt empty, like something, or someone was missing, she looked down at her body in panic, and realised that what was once her pregnant self, had now gone back to a much more normal version of her. Where was her baby? Regina like she was telepathically connected to the blonde in some way, knew instantly why she had a panicked expression on her face. She sat back down beside the bed reaching and placing her hand on top of Emma's pale one, to comfort her as best she could.

"My-where-"

"He's okay Emma, Neal has him, he's perfectly healthy." Regina said with a smile, nodding her head as Emma let out a sigh of relief, reaching up to run a hand through her long blonde hair, Regina breathed in sharply, as she watched her blonde locks flow over her shoulders like gold dust.

"I want to see my son" Emma said rather strongly, her tone shocking Regina slightly, so forceful and angry, although she doubted Emma meant it to come off that way. She was always so kind even when the  brunette had completely rejected her from her own life.

"I should go find Neal, he would want to know that your awake." Regina said standing up, sighing slightly, she didn't want to leave Emma's side, and as she tried to take her hand away from Emma's grasp, the blonde only tugged harder, as pleading eyes looked up at the brunette, begging her not to leave. Maybe Emma didn't want her to leave either.

"Regina wait." Emma said, Regina could feel the blondes hands begin to shake once more, Regina furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the blonde in confusion. If this was a movie this would be the scene where the confess their undying, eternal love for each other, and the drive off in to the sunset to live happily ever after with no consequences or parole officers and everything would be perfect. If only. Regina thought to herself, as her eyes fell upon Emma's troubled face.

"But your son-"

"This can't wait any longer." Emma cut Regina off, wincing slightly, the gun shot would still wasn't fully healed and Emma was now beginning to become aware of the pain that went along with being shot. Regina's heart began to beat harder and harder, the nerves that she was feeling began to make her own hands shake, along with Emma's. "People say that when you die your whole life flashed before your eyes, that you see a white light that you are pulled towards, that all bullshit" Emma said, a small smirk playing on her lips, Regina couldn't help but smile nervously, wondering where she was going with this. "The last thing I remember was how fucking good you looked in your dress at that party" Emma remarked, and Regina felt her cheeks begin to burn a deep red colour, feeling happy that Emma was paying attention to her flawless body that night. "I would love to start a new life with my son, somewhere far away from this shitty town, where nothing ever happens." Emma paused as Regina smiled sadly, thinking that this was some sort of goodbye speech. She had to say something, and she had to say it now.

"Emma I think I'm in love with you" Regina shouted, squeezing her eyes shut as she did, she only opened them when she heard muffled laughter coming from the blonde. She looked at Emma, who had the cutest laugh on the planet, which made her smile through the instant embarrassment that she was feeling.

"Regina I know" Emma said laughing slightly, Regina's face fell flat as she looked at Emma with a confused look on her face, she had thought she had been extremely good at hiding her true feelings for the blonde. "I heard your conversation with Zelena, I was in coma, not deaf" Emma explained, Regina bit her lower lip, shaking her head slightly.

"Well look at that Swan, even when your in a coma you manage to get one up on me." Regina chuckled, as the blonde wore a very smug looking expression, looking like the cat who had just got the cream, which in a way she was.

"I think we should try" Emma said vaguely, looking at Regina with hunger in her eyes.

"try?" Regina questioned, not quite grasping the idea that Emma had flung out of the blue at her.

"Move away with me?"

"Where?"

"I don't know, anywhere, New York, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, Hell the other side of the world!" Emma shouted, this was the happiest she had felt in months, as all these different images of her, Regina and her son as one big happy family came flying into her head.

"I don't-"

"Just say yes" Emma pleaded

"Em-"

"Say yes" Emma said with so much hope gleaming in her eyes. Regina sighed as she shook her head at the blonde, how could she say no to that face.

"yes" Regina said, not helping the smile that sneaked out as she did so.
