Chapter 39

10 years later...

Regina had finally found the meaning of ecstasy, of utter and unchanging bliss. She was on her back, her nose in a great book, on a lilo, in the shallows of the pacific ocean. Her Emma and Emma and Neal's son, who was named Henry had been travelling around the little islands dotted around the Pacific Ocean all summer long. They had swan with Dolphins, Sharks and Turtles, they had gone scuba diving, built at least one hundred sand castles. Regina never thought she would ever feel this happy, she never thought it was possible, but every day Emma does something that makes her so happy, so grateful to Emma for choosing her. 

Emma was swimming towards Regina's body, lying graciously on the lilo, a cheeky grin on her face as she swam closer and closer. This summer had been the best in her lifetime, And once more she had gotten to spend it with the hottest girl in the world. Emma dived down below the surface of the water right underneath the lilo before she propelled herself up to the surface, purposefully, toppling the lilo and Regina into the ocean, laughing hysterically as she heard a slight scream coming from the beautiful brunette. 

Regina surfaced a pouting look on her face as she was met with Emma's challenging face, so bold, so close to her own, Regina could feel the blondes breath on her own lips, but all she could taste was salt water from her unexpected journey into the water, she would get her revenge on Emma later.  Suddenly she felt little hands grabbing at her shoulders, and she soon found herself giving Henry an non-consenting piggyback in the ocean, as she tread the water beneath them. 

Emma laughed at her funny little family as Regina began to bob back to shore with a happy little Henry hitching a ride with his favourite step mom. Regina would definitely have to discuss operation get revenge on Emma with him later, because for a little kid he had the best of plans for situations like these. Emma followed close behind them, getting the perfect view of Regina's ass in that beautiful black bikini that she had decided to wear, specifically because she knew it was Emma's favourite. Regina figured that one out on their honey moon to Iceland, where she had worn the same bikini in the blue lagoon, and the blonde could not take her eyes off of her assets, and ever since then Regina had used it to tease the hell out of Emma's brain, heart and body. 

As soon as they reached the shore Henry jumped down from Regina's back and ran back to their claimed area on the beach, shouting something about a family barbecue that just had to happen right this second. Regina smiled, as Emma laced their hands together as they both followed Henry over. 

"Where to next?" Emma asked, she thought they could fit in one other unscheduled Island visit before having to go back home. Regina smiled as she moved closer to the blonde. 

"I'll go anywhere with you"

"You're such a cliche" Emma said laughing, Regina shoved her playfully. 

"Moms! We need to light the barbecue!" Henry shouted over, Regina's eyes went wide as she saw Henry with the packet of matches in her hands. Emma giggled at the petrified expression on the brunettes face. 

"I've got this sweetheart" Emma said through laughter as she ran over to Henry, smiling back at Regina, flicking her eyes up and down.    

Regina sighed in bliss, she had found peace on this earth, she had found family, she had found...

Emma.
