Chapter 1: The Tonys.

Idina POV:

As the team put the finishing touches on my makeup I stood up from the chair and smoothed down my wine-hued dress. I can't believe it's finally here.

The Tonys.

This is the first time I have been nominated since Wicked. I'm even performing. Looking at myself in the mirror I realized that tonight had to be perfect.

And it will be.

Regular POV:

The fans leaned on the gates waiting for the stars to arrive. A white door from across the street opened and a tall brunette walked out onto the street, holding her dress as she walked. The fans screamed her name and demanded her attention as they held up signs and attempted to escape from the metal barricades. The signs read Jadina or We Love Jadina! Idina glanced at the signs, her cheeks turning a slight pink, as her team fixed her dress as she walked. She finally reached the red carpet and started getting mobbed with cameras and interviewers.

James POV:

I pulled up to Radio City Music Hall at exactly 6:30. I got out of my car and handed the Valet worker my keys and a tip. I adjusted my tie and looked around. It's finally here.

The Tonys.

If/Then is nominated for Best Score. Idina was also nominated for Best Lead Actress. Idina. A sheepish grin appeared on my face as the name went through my mind. My thoughts were interrupted by the screaming fans with Jadina signs attempting to climb through the gates. Jadina. I smirked at the sound of that. I have seen it a couple of times on twitter, guess it's like Insyders and Fanzels, but Idina and I together. Jadina. I like the sound of that. I chuckled and made my way to the red carpet.

Regular POV:

The Tonys were just starting, Hugh had already done his exhausting hopping wolverine routine and the crowd was getting excited. James sat a couple of rows in front of Idina with some of the crew. After a while, Idina left to get ready for her performance.

Idina POV:

As Hugh and others joked around backstage, I was warming up and trying to shake off some of the nerves. This performance had to be perfect. For the next 5 minutes I only had one focus. James. Of course it always seems like it's about him because our characters are soulmates, but this time, it really was about him. I've been having these dreams and fantasies about James and I, us on dates, us being a couple, us getting married. Even though this feels terribly wrong because he has a wife, it's just...so realistic. I thought about the signs I saw today. What was it? Jadina? I giggled quietly at the thought.

As Jonathan announced my name CORRECTLY, I walked onto the stage and got in my place. The dialogue started and I fiddled with the dog tag in my shaky hands. As I started the song, I made eye contact with James as he eventually made it back. As the song got more intense, more tears came to my eyes, and I started getting closer to the other side where he was sitting. I belted a couple of notes and another verse in the center, accidentally losing my focus on James. As I was about to end the song, I looked to where James was sitting to make eye contact again, but he was gone. I bit my lip hard trying not to burst into tears as the song ended, then I dropped the dog tag and stormed offstage.

{A/N: I'm sorry this is short and sucky, but I have no clue what I'm doing. Feedback is always welcome! Thanks for reading!}
