It only took Liyl 20 minutes to get to the facility, but to Theresa, it was an hour-long ride. As they pulled up to the facility Theresa's feet were moving faster than her body. All she wanted to know is what happened to her mommy. As they both entered the facility a nurse melt them and directed them to the 3 floor of the facility. Theresa and Liyl rushed to the elevators and went straight to the 3rd flood looking for her mommy. As they ran down the hallway there were many doctors, nurses and recuse people all surrounding her mommy room. As Theresa approached the room all she could do was see her mommy laying on the floor. She couldn't bring herself to go in, so Liyl went in the room for what seemed like forever. When he exited Zelma room he looked at Theresa and shook his head, saying that her mommy for gone forever.

Theresa couldn't believe that news she was just giving, she really wanted to wake-up from this nightmare. As everyone exited her mother room she started to cry harder than she ever did in her entire life. Theresa couldn't believe this was happening to her, they had plans for the day and her mommy decided to leave before they could eat their meal together. She was angry, sad and hurt and all wrapped up in one ball. She felt like she was dreaming until her husband came back to her and asked did she want to see her mom for the last time. Theresa couldn't respond to him because she really just wanted to wake-up from this terrible nightmare. Her mommy was not gone, they just talked on the phone that morning. She had the chicken sitting in her favorite seasonings so that she would love her New Years' Eve Dinner. She felt like her heart and soul were removed her body.

Theresa sat back on the floor and just started calling people. She called her brother, sister, and best friend to come to the facility. She then called her cousin, who in return call Theresa daddy Steven. She just sat on the floor calling people that she wanted to come support her. As she waiting for her best friend to come she cried some more realizing this was not a dream but real life and her mommy was gone forever.

Theresa finally entered the room to see her mommy laying in the bed so peaceful. She looked like she was asleep and that nothing was bothering her anymore. Theresa rubbed her mommy face with tears coming down her face. She really was looking forward to eating lunch with mommy, just the 2 of them. This would never happen again and Theresa still couldn't believe that her mommy for forever gone. As everyone came to the facility to say their final goodbyes, Theresa became numb and empty. She just wanted to climb into the bed with her mommy and go to sleep with her forever. As she cleaned her mommy for the last time and talked to her, she noticed that mommy really looked like she was at peace which made Theresa jealous because she didn't know how to live without her mommy. As she cried some more there was a hand touching her shoulder, when she turned around it was her daddy.

Theresa was so happy to see him that she cried even harder as her daddy hugged her tightly. Steven looked over at his wife/childhood best friend and let the tears fall. Theresa was able to see the life leave his body and all she could do was hope that daddy wouldn't leave her anytime soon. As everyone started to leave Theresa was unable to stay to watch her mother carried out for the last time. Her brother and oldest niece stayed until the Funeral Home came to pick-up mommy.
