I couldn't tell you how it felt because as I soon as I did it, I pulled back.
"I...I...you-you should do that."
I didn't know what I was saying but the longer I looked into AJ's confused eyes, the more words I said.
"When you kiss her I mean, like just do it with no warning and then she'll have to say yes."
AJ, who looked like he was in a daze, snapped out of it and scratched his head, trying to find the right words to say.
Before he could though, I grabbed my bag from beside the tree and said "Okay, well um good luck!". I then swiftly walked to my car, not looking back.
Good luck? Really Madeline

When I get home, I crash on the couch, still haunted by the the events that took place at the park. One part of me was ashamed for what I had done. Kissing AJ was a mistake and I know I should never do it again. But yet again....I really wanted to. The other part of me was proud that I finally did what I have been dreaming about for the last 5 years. Either way, it was obvious that AJ didn't and will never feel the same way. So I guess I'll have to stuff my feelings back into the drawer so we an both forget what happened and go back to normal. How am I supposed to do that?

My phone rings at 6 o' clock on the dot and I already know who it is before I pick up.
"Hey Jacob"
"Hey Mads, what's up?"
"Nothing..."
"Mads."
"Yes?"
"What's wrong?"
"It's just...you know my friend AJ...well today I–"
"Wait Mads can u hold on for a minute?"
"Sure..."
I hear muffled sounds of Jacob's side of the call. I can't make them out but I think I hear Jacob's mother, the nicest person and best cook I had ever met. She sounds happy and I wonder what's she and Jacob are talking about.
"Mads?"
"Yeah I'm here, was that your mom?"
"Yeah it was."
"Oh cool, tell her I say hi."
"Maybe you can tell her 'hi' yourself...in person..."
"Jacob....what are you talking about?"
"My mom just confirmed the news. It's official. I'm moving back to Oregon.
