Chapter Four

~Anna's pov~

I woke up to my head pounding painfully. I look around to see Eleanor looking worried.

"What happened?" i croaked.

Eleanor sniffed. Her face was blotched with redness. She's crying.

"Do you know what happened? Are you feeling sore?" She wept.

I tried to recall what just happened. Adam..Yes Adam. I remember him touching me..and the next thing was darkness.

"El tell me what happened," i asked her desperately as i tried to sit up. My inner thigh was hurting so much , i whimpered.

"Anna, you were..you almost got raped just now," cried El.

"I was walking at the vicinity of our college with Austin when i found Adam all over you. You were unconscious, i guess you passed out from shock," she wept. My thigh is hurting so badly, i really need some painkillers.

" The next thing i knew, Austin and Adam was tackling on the ground. Austin has got a busted lip and his cheeks were swollen. You were looking so disheveled. You're lucky you are being saved on time. Only God knows what will happen when we're not there," she continued wiping her swollen eyes.

I stare into the ceiling. I couldn't believe my fate. Ever since i entered college, my life is becoming a reality show. Why is this happening to me?

~Austin's pov~

I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw Adam 'eating' Annabeth.

How could he do that? He is such a f*cking asshole. He almost raped her in front of my eyes. I was lucky i came there on time. I feel sorry for that girl.

Its been half an hour. El was still crying. I bet she's still in shock when she saw her best friend almost got raped by Adam.

My face is swollen from the punch i receive from Adam. I still remember punching him repeatedly till his nose bled. I could have just killed him. No matter how annoying Annabeth could be, no girl deserves to be treated that way. He is just full of shit. Asshole.

"Austin, I'm going to buy something from the pharmacy. Take care of her," she whispered a she rubbed her swollen eyes.

I knock the door as i entered the room. Annabeth was crying silently, her hand covering her face.

"Why is this happening to me?" She wept.

"Annabeth don't cry," i whispered as i put my arms around her. I could feel her sorrows.

"Don't worry about that asshole. I have reported him to the head, i bet he will be suspended or maybe expelled, i don't know," i sighed.

"Dont worry about me, I'm feeling better," she lied as she pushed up her glasses higher.

"Does..does it hurt?"i asked with concern.

She glared at me like i have just asked her whether or not she's pregnant.

"It hurts. I guess its the pressure from his hands. He was basically squeezing my thighs,.." She couldn't continue it. She started weeping heavily.

"Im sorry for making you this way," she croaked, her voice getting hoarse. Even though she's crying, she still looks pretty and beautiful. Her green eyes were filled with tears and her cheeks were blotched.

"Its okay..no girl deserves to be treated this way," i sighed.

I felt Annabeth's arm snaking around my waist. I instantly jerked.

"What? Im just trying to thank you," she grinned despite the pain in her eyes.

I grinned, as i close my eyes enjoying the warmth from her arms, ignoring the ridiculous nervous heartbeat from my heart.

And my instinct somehow tells me that this incident, is pre-planned.

I am going to investigate it.
