Chapter Four

Jungkook's pov

"Just this once, you can go out to hunt on your own. Okay?" Namjoon hyung says.

"Stay safe," Seokjin hyung adds. I nod.

I run out the door in a hurry. Seeing as I'm extremely hungry, I start hopping from roof to roof in search of a victim.

Suddenly, a high pitched scream rips through me. I feel a warm feeling in my neck as I try and get closer to who screamed.

I gasp as the feeling gets more intense and starts stinging slightly. I get closer to the figures slowly.

I sense that one of them is a vampire, but the strange thing is... I feel a connection to the other.

The figure screams again and I see him go limp. I can faintly feel that my mate has gone unconscious.

It can't be...

"No!" I yell out and run towards the other vampire. I tackle him to the ground as I fight him. I see out he corner of my eye that the other boy has collapsed.

"What the hell is wrong with you!" He yells out in pain. My eyes flash red.

"That's my mate you bastard!" I punch him in the stomach making him double over in pain. I push the vampire away as he runs from me.

I rush over to the small boy on the ground. And fall to my knees beside him. I can sense that he is missing a lot of blood. He's extremely pale, even in the dim light from the moon above us. He's beautiful though. He's stunning.

I sigh and gather him into my arms to pick him up.  He's extremely light, and I can feel that he is very thin.

I take him into a dark alleyway I found and set him down gently. I try and contact Seokjin through my mind and fail. I try Namjoon and fortunately he hears me.

"What is it, Jungkook?" He asks worriedly.

"I think I found my mate and he's hurt. I don't know what to do. Can you come find me?" I ask as I look down at the small figure.

"Yeah I'm bringing Seokjin and Hoseok. Is that okay?"

"Go ahead," I reply.

The connection breaks off as I'm left in silence with the small boy. He stirs slightly, and I have hope that he'll wake up. He doesn't.

I sear several sets of footsteps coming towards us quickly. I look up hoping to see Namjoon, Seokjin and Hoseok.

I see Hoseok first. Then Namjoon and Seokjin.

"Where is your mate?" Seokjin asks. I point to the small boy on the ground next to me. "Aw poor thing he looks so thin."

"You can fatten him up when we get home, hun. But right now, we need to get him safe. Have you eaten yet, Kookie?" Namjoon looks at me. I shake my head no. He sighs, "You need to quickly find something to feed off of. I saw a few deer over there." He points in the direction of some trees outside the alley.  "We'll wait here for you to get back."

I look him in the eyes trying to tell him to keep my mate safe as I'm not there. He nods, still looking me in the eyes. I run in the direction he said the deer were.
