Chapter Seven

Jungkook's pov

I look back at Jimin before walking out of the room. I'm hesitant to leave him on his own for long.

I walk downstairs, just to hear Namjoon and Seokjin talking to each other in hushed voices.

"He's so thin. What do you think happened to him?" I hear Seokjin say.

"I don't know but it can't be good. He had marks around his wrist. Handprints on his neck. He was obviously malnourished. We can't let him go back to wherever he was. I think he was abused." Namjoon replies.

I walk in abruptly and look at Namjoon dead in the eyes, "he had handprints on his neck? Marks around his wrists? You think he was abused? I think we all know he was abused."

Seokjin looks at me like I'm crazy.

"That isn't how you talk to your hyungs, Jungkook," Namjoon says sternly. I scoff.

Seokjin shakes his head, chuckling softly as he heads back into the kitchen. I follow after him and watch him as he makes food for us and Jimin.

A high pitched shriek rips through the house and I jump. I run upstairs and see Yoongi with his hand around Jimin's neck, holding him up against the wall. Tears are streaming down Jimin's face.

"Let. Go. Of. Him. Yoongi." He looks at me.

"Why, Jungkook," he says, staring at Jimin.

"That is my Mate, Yoongi. Let him go," I hiss through my teeth. My eyes flash red and my fangs show.

Jimin's eyes flicker over to me, panic evident in them. I roughly push Yoongi off of the small boy.

Jimin runs and hides his face in my chest as he cries. I wrap my arms around him and glare at Yoongi. He raises his arms in defeat.

"I didn't know he was your mate," Yoongi explains. I still glare at him as I feel Jimin's shoulders shake. I rest my head on top of his and hold him tighter.

"J-jungkook?" He sobs.

"Yes, baby?"

"Who was that?" He asks.

"Min Yoongi. He lives here as well. He didn't expect a human to come in," I glance over at Yoongi and he nods sheepishly.

"Is everyone who lives here a vampire?" I nod.

"Hey Chim?" I ask, wiping his tears with my thumb. He blushes the same colour as his hair at the nickname but looks up at me and nods once. "Do you want to meet the others?"

He seems to shrink slightly due to nervousness. I start to worry.

"You don't have to. We can wa-"

"I want to," he cuts me off, "I'm just a little scared." I nod slightly, understanding his reasoning.

"It'll be okay. I'll be there right beside you. I promise I won't leave your side," I reassure him. He looks up at me with his puppy like eyes. I just about melt at how adorable he is.

I may have known him for a day, but I think I've already fallen completely in love with him.
