Chapter Nine

Jimin's pov

Seokjin finishes the ramen and puts it in the middle of the table. I look at it and once again, feel like I shouldn't eat it. I'd just be bothering them by eating their food.

They shouldn't have helped me in the first place.

"Hey, Jungkook can you go get the others and tell them food is ready? Also, help Hoseok get down here. His side probably still hurts," I hear Seokjin say to Jungkook. Jungkook nods and slowly lets go of me.

I lean against the wall, a faint pain still in my leg. I start to think about everything that's happened in my life.

The abuse.

The beatings.

The names.

Those horrible, horrible people.

My heart starts racing as I continue to think about it.

Flashback

I open my eyes to see a man hovering above my face. My arms and legs are bound and I can't move.

I feel something come down on my stomach harshly, causing a sharp and loud snap to ring throughout the room. I scream.

Someone covers my mouth and talks lowly, "don't be so loud. Don't want anyone to find out about this now do we?" I shake my head slightly, wishing I could just leave this place.

The hitting continues all around my body, leaving marks everywhere.

"You deserve the worst. You always deserve the worst. You're fat. You're worthless. You're nothing and no one will ever tell you that you are. You are a disgrace to this world. We should just get rid of you now. Be grateful we don't just dispose of you here and now," another voice comes through my ears.

I cry and try my hardest to get someone else's attention. I want the pain to stop.

But I know it won't.

End of flashback

I don't realize that I'm crying until I feel someone in front of me.

"Jimin! Jimin calm down you're not there anymore. You're safe," the person says.

"Help... me," I manage to whimper out before I start to sob loudly.

I sense more peoples' eyes on me as I feel a pair of arms come around me.

"It'll be okay. I promise. You're here now. We will protect you," a deep voice says quietly to me. I open my eyes and look at the person. It's Taehyung.

The vampire continues to comfort me as I cry. I hear others come down the stairs and gasp.

I rest my head on Taehyung's shoulder. I feel safe around him. Not as much as I do with Jungkook, but he seems like someone who genuinely cares. I've only known him for a while, but he already seems like a brother to me. Like I can trust him.

I lift my head and look around at my surroundings. Namjoon is holding Seokjin as they watch. Hoseok is leaning against a wall, and Jungkook is hesitantly making his way towards me.

I break away from Taehyung and shakily walk over to Jungkook, tears still going down my face from the memories.

Jungkook pulls me to his chest and whispers comforting words in my ears. I continue to cry on his shoulder, still remembering the words those people have said to me. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget them.

Jungkook lifts my head so I can look him in the eyes, "You're safe. I will never let anyone touch you ever again. Not while I'm around." He puts a hand on the back of my head and runs his fingers through my hair in a calming manner. "Will you eat? For me?" He asks, still moving his fingers.

I look at Jungkook with glossy eyes and nod slightly in response. A grin breaks across his face as he intertwines our fingers together.

I hear multiples coos in the background, letting me know the others are still watching us. I blush as I look around at them.

"Awh you guys are so cute!" Taehyung exclaims. I see Hoseok glance at him with a look I barely recognize. But... I think I may know what it means.

I am terribly sorry for not updating. I've been struggling with severe anxiety lately. Thankfully my friend A_Cupof_Suga has been helping me through it all. But anyway, the next chapter should be out soon. How would you guys like if I made a one shot book for bts ships? I'd take requests (that I'm comfortable with of course).
