I was in Mal and Evie's room. Jane was there too. She was complaining about her mom.

"Mom said, 'if a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it.' Can you believe it? What world does she live in?" Jane asked and flopped onto Evie's bed.

"Auradon," Mal said. I rolled my eyes and starting reading a book. It was about the history of Pirates. It wasn't as boring as I thought it would be.

"Mal, Di, do you like?" Evie asked as she held up a new shirt.

"Yeah. It's cute. It brings out your eyes," Mal said.

"Yeah, I concur," I said barely glancing up at Evie.

"I know," Evie said and went back to sewing.

"I'll never get a boyfriend," Jane complained.

"Boyfriends are overrated," Mal said.

"And how would you know, Mal? You've never had one," Evie asked.

"It's 'cause I don't need one, E. They're a waste of time," Mal responded.

"I forgot to do Chad's homework! Oh, no! Oh, no, no, no," Evie said as she started on his homework.

"And that is exactly what I mean," Mal said.

A new girl I had never seen before walked up. "Hey, guys! I'm Lonnie. My mom's Mulan? No? Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and, well, you're evil. But do you think you could do mine?" She asked.

"Why would I do that for you?" Mal asked.

"I'll pay you 50 dollars," Lonnie offered.

"Good answer. I need to buy more material. Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights," Evie said planning out Lonnie's hair.

"Yeah, yeah. I want it cool. Like Mal's," Lonnie said.

"Really?" Mal and I asked. Mal glared at me. I just shrugged and went back to my book.

"The split ends, too?" Evie asked. Mal glared at her too.

"Okay... 'Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair.'" Mal cast.

"I know. I know. It looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it," Evie started.

"No, no, no, no, no, no! I love it," Lonnie said.

"You do?" Evie asked in disbelief.

"It's just," Lonnie ripped her skirt. "Now I'm cool."

"Like ice," Mal said.

Jane then went up to the mirror and ripped her skirt too. "What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me!" Jane said.

"That's the fasted case of regret I've ever seen!" I exclaimed.

"Yo-ho-ho!" Jay said and showed off his jersey.

"Hey!" Carlos greeted.

"Did your plan work with Jane? Are you going over to see the wand?" Jay asked.

"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book. if I hadn't completely struck out?" Mal said, annoyed.

"Oh, someone's in a bad mood," Carlos said.

"My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!" Mal exclaimed.

"We can do this... if we stick together," Jay said.

"And we won't go back until we do. Because we're rotten," Mal said.

"To the core," we all finished.
