A/N: Sorry for the late update, I'm on spring break for the next week and have been since Monday. I lost track of the days. It's not a very good excuse, but that's all I can offer you guys. Sorry again. I'll try and do better next week. Here's hoping! And on with the story!
"Look, It's Mal," one girl said.
"Hi, Mal! Love my hair, Mal!" Another waved. I was by my locker. It was a ways away from Mal's. I liked it. I could eavesdrop on people that way. I was wearing the tank top and shorts again.
"Are you feeling kind of weird about this? I mean, It's not so bad here, you know," Jay told Mal.
"Are you insane? Long live evil! You're mean! You're awful! You're bad news! Snap out of it!" Mal exclaimed.
"Thanks, Mal. I needed that," Jay admitted. I just rolled my eyes and started looking through my locker for some textbooks and homework.
"Do you think they actually paid for those?" Audrey asked Chad.
"Oh, hello. The name's Jay. You all going to the tourney game tonight?" Jay asked the girls gathered at the foot of the rail.
"Yeah," They admitted.
"Keep a lookout for number eight, all right? Scoring the winning goal," Jay bragged. I rolled my eyes. They were all such flirts, Jay, Evie, and Faith, I mean.
"Okay," the girls said and started talking to each other.
"She did it to Jane's hair, too, and Fairy Godmother's not happy about it," Audrey told Chad and Ben.
"What's the harm?" Ben asked right as I thought it.
"It's gateway magic! Sure, it starts with the hair. Next thing you know It's the lips and the legs and the clothes and then everybody looks good and then... where will I be?" Audrey asked. I rolled my eyes. Doesn't she know beauty is found within? Inside? As in your personality? Not everything is about looks. Believe me. I'd rather date a Quasimodo than a Gaston. But, then again, that's just me.
"Listen, Audrey-" Ben started but Audrey interrupted him.
"I will see you at the game after my dress-fitting for the coronation, okay?" Audrey asked.
"Okay," Ben agreed. Audrey then walked off with Chad.
"Bye, Benny-boo," She called.
"Bye," Ben said. He then walked over to Mal.
"Hey, Benny-boo!" Mal greeted.
"Hey," Ben greeted.
"I just made a batch of cookies. Double chocolate chip, do you want one?" Mal asked, innocently.
"Oh, I, uh, I've got a big game. I don't eat before a big game. But thank you so, so much. Thank you. Next time. Next time," Ben said.
"No, yeah. I completely understand. 'Be careful of treats offered by kids of villains,'" Mal said, using her persuasive powers of manipulation.
"No, no, no," Ben said, feeling guilty.
"No, I'm sure every kid in Auradon knows that," Mal said, playing on his emotions. I've got to admit, I may not agree with what she was doing but, it was working like a charm.
"No, that's not it. No, no, no, I... I really do-" Ben started but was cut off.
"No, I get it. You're cautious. That's smart. Oh, well, more for me, I guess," Mal said and opened the bag and started to take a bite.
"No, no. Hey... see that? Totally trust you. Totally," Ben said as he took the cookie and bit into it. I cringed. This was not good. Well, from an Aurdon standpoint.
