It was Harry's last night at the flat. Louis and Harry had spent the whole day lounging about together, enjoying their last day as roommates. Louis was trying his hardest to keep himself together and Harry was doing the same. It's for the best. The curly headed bloke kept telling himself repeatedly as the evening went on. No matter how much he kept saying it, he never fully believed it.
"Haz, I think it's time for bed." Louis yawned as he looked at the clock, masking the sadness that lurked behind his words. He didn't want the night to end. He didn't want Harry to leave.
"Yeah, I think so too." Harry sighed, grunting as he pushed himself up from the couch.
Louis copied the younger boy's actions and followed him up the stairs. Each step brought the two closer to tomorrow, closer to the disappearance of Harry Styles. The eldest stopped at Harry's door and leaned against the frame as the green eyed boy stripped down to his boxers, pulling back the blanket on his bed. "Goodnight, Hazza." Louis sighed, scanning the now empty walls of the room. It was all empty. The only thing left was the bed and Harry, and soon, he would be gone too.
"Night, Boo Bear." Harry smiled at the boy standing at his door, pulling the blanket over his body. "Turn the light off, yeah?"
"Yeah." He nodded, flipping the switch down with a slender finger, before walking to his own bedroom.
Louis crawled into bed after stripping down to just his sweats. The sheets that covered the mattress were cold against his tanned skin and he sucked in a sharp breath at the contact. Eventually, he was able to sink into his bed, but couldn't force himself to sleep. He closed his eyes tightly and took deep breaths to try to convince his body to sleep. After an hour without success, he gave up completely and let his eyes adjust to the darkness within his room.
He pulled back the covers and threw his legs over the edge of the bed. Bare feet touched rough carpet and he ran a hand through his messy feathered hair. He grabbed a pillow off of his bed before shuffling back into the hallway as quietly as possible. Clutching the pillow to his chest, he lightly pushed open Harry's door to be greeted by his like snoring. A smile played on Louis' lips as he tip-toed next to the sleeping boy's bed, gently placing his pillow next to the curls. Slowly pulling back the blanket, he slid in next to Harry, careful not to wake him up.
"Lou...?" Harry's deep voice, husky with sleep, startled Louis.
"Hey Haz, can I sleep with you tonight?" He whispered as his heartbeat descended into normality.
"Of course." Louis could hear the smile in his voice as Harry moved to make room for the older boy.
As Louis made himself comfortable in Harry's warm and welcoming bed, he felt the boy rest his head onto his shoulder. Hot breath tickled his neck as Harry's breathing began to deepen. "Goodnight, Louie." His voice was a soft kiss against Louis' ear as he began to drift out of consciousness.
"Goodnight, Haz." Louis replied as the boy's snoring returned softly. "I love you."
