Now

Without the cam-corder, Bonnie felt an odd emptiness. She wondered if she fooled herself thinking that each recording would eventually be heard. But, deep down she doubted such a thing.

Day one, she was silent, hardly spoke for there was nothing to say. Instead, she created a simple schedule, something to keep her mind occupied. The witch didn't want the questions, the ones she subjected herself to.

When're they coming for me?

Have they forgotten me?

Where's Damon?

Will they ever come?

It was a toxic thought process.
After day three without speaking, or the company of herself. She dug through the cupboards of Kai's old family home. He had to have one. He did have a pager and loads of family photos.

Through the living room, kitchen, study and bedrooms she searched. Up until the last door down the hall. The one with KEEP OUT scrawled across it with black marker.

It was Kai's room. She was sure of it. And with him no longer being in the prison world, she inhaled a sharp breath before entering. Bits and bobs were scattered across the floor, his sheets were in a tangled mess along with his pillows, that looked as if they were beaten half to death.

Nothing much decorated the walls, only the usual shelf that held... Adult magazines. It was to be expected, he was alone for eighteen years. However, that's only what she thought. She didn't know of his partner in crime, the one that only existed in the recorder Bonnie just set her eyes on.

She dodged and kicked her way through the things laying on the floor. Before sighing at the relief of having a cam-corder in her hands.

She opened it with happiness before having a warning come across the screen.

NO SPACE. STORAGE FULL.

Confusion painted her once blank features, that was until she went to the gallery and started the first video.

A beautiful girl with pale skin, long brown hair and vivid blue eyes appeared on the small screen. She seemed bubbly, someone she could get along with.
The girl reminded her of a mash of Elena and Caroline in a way.

She smiled as she watched the girl barrell down the stairs, the film shaky as a breathy laughter escaped her plump, pink lips. A smile curled the corners of Bonnie's mouth before she heard:

"Day thirteen in our personal hell, with no. Way. Out".

Her voice was sweet. It wasn't surprising. It was the words.

She was in the prison world. Then suddenly, Kai was on screen, his back facing the camera.

She watched on in complete awe, right until the end.

Kai wasn't alone.

Bonnie quickly paused the video and searched for a newspaper. Turning to the page that went further into detail about Kai's family. She discovered the name Kai paused on, the one he refused to speak...

Isabelle Martin.

Below the words, was her... The girl in the video.
