For an unbearably long time, Y/N hadn't heard from any of the group.
The fear in her heart increased rapidly as days grew by.
Until one day, a knock on the door was heard.
Y/N hesitantly waited for the servant to open the door, along with Angelica waiting elsewhere. Angelica peered from the corner of the opposite hallway, whilst Y/N opened an ear to listen in. Only muffled voices could be heard.
"Well, that's the thing- uh.." the voice said. It was oddly familiar.
"I'm just looking for Angeli-" the voice was cut off by Angelica immediately dashing towards him, giving him a tender hug.
"Alexander..oh, God. You're safe." Angelica hugged him a bit tighter.
Y/N stepped towards them, relieved her friend was okay. Angelica released him, letting them talk.
"Any scars? Hurt at all?" Y/N asked as she cautiously walked towards him, feeling wary of she should hug him if he was injured. "No injuries, right?"
"No, I'm alright." Alexander paused for a moment, before giving Y/N a hug. "I apologize to you both for not writing. I don't think services have been allowing our letters through."
"It's quite alright. I'm relieved you are safe, though." Y/N nodded.
"Yes, of course, thank you for your concern.." Alexander nodded. Angelica turned to him, smiling.
"Come in, come in!" she'd take his hand, leading him to the living room.
"I'll make you some tea. You guys chat." Y/N smiled, hearing them begin to chatter on and on about his battles and what had been going on while they left. She headed down the long, empty hallway. A few servants bowed and nodded to her as she smiled.
"Miss Y/N?" May walked up to her. "I'm sorry to bother you, however two women are here to see you. I'm unsure of the purpose, though."
Y/N tilted her head slightly. "Oh. Yes, thank you, May." She nodded in response. "I'll attend to them shortly, thank you for the notice."
"Of course," May smiled softly, handing her a note before walking away. Y/N looked up at the tall windows, the sun beaming through it and lighting the hallway perfectly as she passed by and turned toward the kitchen to see Peggy attempting to bake bread with a servant.
"Someone's hard at work." Y/N chuckled.
"Got to get things done around here." Peggy shrugged. "I don't want to leave everything to the servants."
"Father would be a bit-"
"Father who?" snapped Peggy. "I'm going to follow yours and Angelica's rules now. Daddy doesn't need to know."
"Okay, but make sure to clean up and wash the linens- or leave it to our maids," responded Y/N. She turned on her heel and started down the hallway towards the glass door to the garden, note in hand.
Y/N opened the door with slight ease, to see two women- one clad in a blue frock, the other in red.
