Remembering Corey (The boy in the white cap.)

Chapter ten.

Acts of kindness Corey did that changed lives.

"Kindness makes one eternally beautiful."

In his best friend little sister's birthday,he gave her a yellow tulip flower which means cheerful thoughts & sunshine.

at school,he helped his friend,Anne,who recently had a surgery and could not make efforts and the teacher said she would need someone to help her carrying her books and stuff,Corey immediately said "I'll do that!" and helped her during this period. Although he was shy,he would always go out of his way to be nice and help others.

He would sit behind his friend Jennifer,smile at her ask her everyday "How you're doing today?" and talk about his fishing adventures to make her happy.

He loved dancing,according to his mom he was a good dancer. And on the night before April 20,he had one last dance with her.
Which is now a special memory for her.
It was their last dance together.

"Corey would always pick up our spirits in a gloomy situation." His best friend Austin affirmed. He would always do something to make others smile. That was just him.
He loved to make everyone happy and would put others above himself.

He was a very empathetic person.

He was full of joy. Corey would walk into his art class with his white hat pulled over his forehead and smile. "There was always a glimmer in his eyes." His teacher said.

He taught his youngest sister how to fly fisher and used to take her fishing with him. And he was his cousin's best friend,she saw him as a "inspiration."

Corey displayed kindness & compassion even in the darkest moments.
He kept the calm during the gunfire attack at his high school and told his schoolmates
"Stay tight,the cops will come."
These were his last words.
Until the end,he kept reassuring everything would be okay.
"Even under the table,he wasn't afraid."
His best friend said. Although the situation was chaotic and everyone was in panic,he was the only person that remained calm,wasn't scared and was brave till the end.
He's known as a hero that day,he lost his life while trying to shield his schoolmates from a hail of bullets.

In his elementary school yearbook he expressed his gratitude and admiration for his parents by quoting "I really admire my mother and father. They taught me many useful things."

His mom always encouraged Corey to forgive everyone and treat everyone with love and respect.
He was known in high school for being kind,loving and genuine with everyone. Although he was very shy he would always spread love and kindness and suddenly become the life of the party.

He changed my life and touched my heart deeply,he also inspired me in many ways.
He wanted to leave his mark in the world and he did. Corey enriched our earth with kindness.
