Darren*
I woke up to my phone ringing. I groaned and slowly rolled over. Robin made a soft noise and held onto my waist tighter. I chuckled.
I picked up my phone not really lookin at the caller idea.
"Hello?" i answered soundin hella sexy.
"Bring me my damn grandbaby and my son. I don't know why you took them, knowing damn well you can't take of yourself." she exclaimed.
Wow. After nearly a month this is what she calls and says to me. Ha! Just wow.
"Why would I bring MY daughter and baby BROTHER back to dat hell you call a house. After the shit you put them through. The shit you put me through? You really think i'm that dumb? I'm bringing my daughter back ova there. And i'm bringing Danny back either. And you gone head and take me to court for em. Me and you both kno you ain't gone win." a dark chuckle left my mouth.
"You stupid son of bitch! Keep him then. I don't give a fuck about him anyways. I hop-"
I didn't let her finish that sentence. It only pissed me off. The more I heard her pathetic voice. Don't get me wrong. I still love ha. She is my mother but, she just lost herself and i'm not going to put my kid or baby bro through that shit.
Light kisses were peppered across my face. I looked down at him and he blushed.
"Can we go back to sleep now? It's only 2:17 in the morning." he asked.
I laughed and nodded my head. I kissed his lips for a moment and he cuddled up into my side. And we both went back to sleep.
Danny*
I was up all night. I never went to sleep. I was thinking about the boy at the restaurant. My mom. Darren. And everybody else in my life. I was very thankful for my brother. I didn't want to be left alone with my mother. She was mean. She wasn't like that before. But she had changed. For the worse. I didn't want to be around it anymore.
The boy at the restaurant was nice, but gave off a weird vibe. Like something was really of about him. I shook my head and looked at my clock. 2:30. I sighed and rolled over on my side. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.
His Dream*
I was walking through what looked like woods. It was cold. And rain slowly fell.
I tried looking through the dark forest. But that didn't work. My heart rate picked up. I felt someone run past me laughing. I gasped and looked around frantically. Spinning in circles. The person laughed running past me again. I fell to the ground out of shock. The laugh was so deep. Soothing yet terrifying. I wanted to curly up in a ball and cry.
I felt a hand on my arm. It was big and warm. I looked up and seen dark hazel eyes glowing in the dark.
"Babyboy." he said.
And then it all vanished. And he did to.
I jolted up from my sleep. Lookon around I seen I was back in my room. Dani was looking at me like I was crazy. I smiled shakily at her.
She smiled and laughed falling on her butt. I got out of bed and walked to hers. Picking her up.
I walked us down to the kitchen and sat her down in her high chair. Darren and Robin were still sleeping. It was lime 12pm already.
I looked in the refrigerator to what there was to eat. I watched a lot of cooking channels. So I knew a lot about cooking.
I seen a big box of shrimps and crab legs. I smiled so big. I love shrimp and crab legs.
I took them out and left them to thaw. I went to the cabinet and looked for Dani's cereal. I poured some out on her table and left her to that.
I went back to my food and started to marinate it. I was in my zone cookin and cleaning and all.
I was just finishing up when my brother and Robin came down stairs. Darren looked like he was in deep thought. Something I don't see very often. He never thinks before he does anything. It can be sad sometimes. Him being 18 and all.
"Morning y'all." I said like the cheerful person i'm not.
"Morning." Robin spoke.
Darren only nodded his head. I sighed and went back to the food. It was done so I turned it all off.
"It smells so good in here. Who taught you how to cook like that?" Robin asked me.
"I watched a lot of cooking channels. I had nothing else to do and my mama never really cooked so I started." I told him.
"Your gonna get some where cooking like this Danny."
I smiled and thanked him. Setting the food out for me, Robin and Darren. Dani was still in her on little world while my mind wondered off back to the dream I had.
