Our fingers intertwined as we sat together on the park bench overlooking the Hudson River. It was 3:00 A.M right now and the moonlight glistened off of Noah's green eyes like emeralds. I leaned my head against his shoulder. He kisses the top of my head and whispers "You know, I've always thought the Hudson River was very pretty... when I was little and my parents used to fight I would come here. I always found beauty in those rhythmic, swaying currents." "That's really beautiful Noah... and, I'm sorry about your parents," I say. "mmm," He hums in response. My eyelids start to get heavy and before long I'm out like a light. I assume Noah fell asleep not long after me because I awake the next morning cuddling next to him. The sunrise shone blindingly, over the still water, that lies in front of the two of us. The brightness of the sky was so dazzling that when I closed my eyes I could see it clear as day on my eyelids, the picturesque shade of orange, reminding me of tiger lilies. I shake Noah awake gently. He wakes up and rubs his eyes, tiredly. "Morning," I said while yawning. Noah laughs quietly. "You yawn like a kitten, you know?" he asks. I punch him playfully and we both start to laugh. Noah and I decided to head back home. We determined that we should go back to his place. When we got there I sat down on his bed and played with his dog, Spaghetti. Noah puts his hand on my shoulder and starts fidgeting with my bra strap. I turn around to face him. "what are you doing?" I inquire. "What?!?! There was a twist in it. Isn't that uncomfortable?" He questions. I shrug. Noah kisses my cheek "I'm gonna go ask my mom if you can sleep over tonight. I don't want to be away from you even if we'll see each other at school, tomorrow." He states. "Alright," I say with a sigh. Noah comes back in a minute later, pissed. "My mom says no because apparently, she's mad about us sneaking off last light." He says to me. "Well that's okay we can just spend time with each other now," I respond. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Noah asks. "Sounds good," I reply. We go to the couch and look through movies. We Settle on The Breakfast Club.  Noah grabs a blanket and puts it on the two of us. By the time the movie is over, it's about time that I should head home. I say my goodbyes to Noah and kiss him on the cheek. As I walk outside the brisk summer air hits my delicate skin sending a shiver down my spine. It was dusk now and it was starting to get chilly. The tight leather jacket I had on was not providing me much warmth. After a five minute walk, I reach my home. I walk in and close the front door, slyly. I turn around to see my mother She sits in her chair for a split second before jumping to her feet. "Wher the hell have you been?!" She asks angrily. My body tenses at her words but I try to play it off like I don't hear her. She walks towards me, aggressively. "I said, where the hell, have you been?!?!" And at that moment my mother did something that never in a thousand years I thought she would have done. Her fingertips press harshly against my shoulders, leaving marks the color of pastel red. She pushes me to the floor and I hit the hardwood with a tHuD. I stand up shaking slightly and I find my way to the door.  Once I'm out of the house I jump off the front stoop and I run and run. I don't stop running until I must have run two and a half miles. finally, I start to go weak in the knees and I collapse. My vision starts to get hazy and my eyes start to droop. They eventually shut completely and before long, I'm out cold.
