Noah pulls out one of the chairs beneath the table "Take a seat!" He says excitedly. I sit down and he walks to the other side of the table and sits down across from me. "I was originally going to go get you in the middle of the night so we could do this then, but you seemed like you needed it now... so I decided to take you a bit early," Noah informs me. "How do you do it, Noah?" I say grinning. "What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic," He says smiling back at me. "So what's on the menu?" I ask curiously. A man who looks to be about 45 comes over and hands me a menu. "Thank you, Lawrence," Noah says, dismissing him. The menu only says one thing on it. It reads, "Chinese food." "My favorite," I say with a sigh. "What's wrong y/n?" Noah asks. "Nothing... it's just that you're such a good boyfriend. You take me on brilliantly thought out dates and always put me before anyone else. You actively listen to me even when what I have to say is stupid. And all I have to offer in return is my problems." "Y/n... when I started dating you I dated your problems too. And when you got in that car crash I thought I was going to lose you forever. It was kind of a come to Jesus moment for me. I knew that I loved you and if I lost you I wouldn't be able to live with myself. It's still to this day the best decision I've ever made because each and every day I fall in love with you more and more. I treat you like a princess because you deserve it. I don't expect anything in return." I look at Noah, my expression softens when I see his sweet face and I think "I don't deserve Noah" but I don't bother saying it out loud because I know he'll just contradict me. Instead, I say "I love you." "I love you too, y/n" he says in response.
Lawrence comes back over with a silver platter filled with foreign food. He places it on the table in between Noah and me. I take four large scoops of white rice put a dash of salt on it and try not to choke as I scarf it all down at once. The lights wrapped around the cherry blossom tree glisten off of Noah's eyes, giving them a subtle tint of white in his dark green irises. At this moment I realize that Noah is the love of my life and for all the people who say that we don't know what love is when we're this young are wrong. because when I look into Noah's dazzling emerald eyes all I can see is the boy that I'm going to marry one day.
Noah's alluring voice snaps me out of my daydream "Lawrence, we would love our lava cake now." He says. Lawrence comes back a moment later with a lava cake for two. we pick at it like vultures, for about fifteen minutes. We were too wrapped up in our discussion about politics to eat. After we do finish Lawrence turns on a radio and a slow song comes on. Noah puts his hand on my hip and his other hand on my shoulder. I place both of my hands on his shoulders, and together we sway, the wind guiding us. Both of us had no clue how to slow dance, but we enjoyed each others company. We danced the night away.
When it was finally time to go home, Noah took my hand and we started to walk back the path we came. "So Noah... who is Lawrence?" I ask. "Oh... his daughter is a fan apparently. He offered to be a waiter at this date if I took a picture with his daughter," he responds. This makes me laugh. "That's kind of the great thing about being a celebrity. I never have to pay for a single thing ever again!" Noah says.
After we finish the short walk we go inside Noah's house. We get ready for bed. and fall asleep.
