Part Four: Enter Dahlia The Half Breed Act Two

~Eve's P.O.V.~

"Adam, Adam can you hear me?" I whispered softly. He groaned and stirred a bit. I grabbed a small flask, moving his sweat dampened hair away from his face. "It's okay, dear. Just take it slow." I placed the opened flask to his pale pink lips, pouring the contents into his mouth. My blood, the only blood that had a healing affect on him in any way.

His eyes opened slowly, taking in his surroundings. "Hello there, love. How are you feeling?" I said, giving him a reassuring smile. Inside, I was genuinely astonished and worried about how slow his senses were returning. However, I would soon have that fixed. "I feel...horrible. Where is that girl? If I ever see her again I'll-" "She is right here, Adam, and you will do nothing to harm her! In exchange for fixing her wrist up, she has agreed to help you."

"M-my name is Dahlia Marx. I only came here because I desperately needed blood and you had it. But, as I was reaching for it, the stool toppled over and I sprained my wrist when I hit the floor. I'm sorry I bit you, I was just really hungry." Adam stared at her for a moment then sighed. "So, can you fix it?" He said slurring his words slightly. "Yep!"

I moved to the other side of the bed and held Adam's hand. Dahlia got closer to him. She grabbed his arm, slowly sinking her ivory fangs into his bicep. "Easy now, it will be over before you know it." I reassured as he dug his nails into my hand. He hated when anyone bit him that wasn't me. Frankly, I enjoyed that thought.

His strength had returned at last and Dahlia released him. "Thanks kid." Adam actually thanked her, begrudgingly I must say but, it was a start. "Yes, thank you Dahlia. I will see to it, that you are rewarded for this." She stood and walked to the door. "There is no need for that. I have been fed and that is enough for me. You will be the ones that are rewarded one day. See you in another life." Without so much as even a glance back, she disappeared from our lives.
