Kelly’s Point of View
Most of you haven’t had the experience of dying. It was the strangest thing to ever happen to me. Yes, this sounds insane, but I died and came back to life. You hear the stories of survivors who died and came back to life and you find it hard to believe. I’m a believer now. It’s true when they say that everything flashes threw your eyes before you die. I saw my mom and dad again, along with Ethan, Maddie, and even Brooke. I saw all those girls who died because of Kyle. Flashes of me being kidnapped replayed in my head. And even the moment where I was killed. I remembered that day vividly.
“Let’s go our separate ways from Kyle. You and I can go.” He said.
“What? Are you kidding me? There is no way in hell I’m going with you!” I shouted.
How could he think I would just go along with that? Did he think I was too scared of him to say yes? No, I wasn’t going anywhere with him, alone. He frowned and I knew that was a bad sign.
“Kelly, you don’t have a choice.” He said, smirking.
Why was he smiling? This wasn’t a happy matter. I wasn’t going anywhere with Kayden, he was a lunatic. Then at a last hope, I pushed him back and took off running toward the door. I couldn’t run as fast because of my injuries but with adrenaline and fear pushing me on, I still went pretty fast. Sadly, not fast enough.
I opened the door but he quickly closed it with his hand. He trapped me in between the door and himself. I heard his heavy breathing and smell his cheap cologne. He placed his hands on both side of my head, trapping me even more.
“Kelly Hunter, you are mine now.” He whispered.
He grabbed me by the arm tightly and yanked open the bedroom door. I was dragged down the stairs and towards the front door. No, I couldn’t leave here with him. With my arm that wasn’t in his grip, I swung at him, making him release his grasp on me.
“I hate you and could never love a pathetic excuse of a man like yourself.” I snapped, getting angrier by the second. I wasn’t going down without a fight.
“Fine, as you wish.” He snarled.
I wasn’t sure what he meant by that but before I knew it, he was inches away from me. His lips were against mine in seconds and I struggled against him but screamed when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I gasped, not knowing what it was. He pulled away and I looked down to see a knife sticking out of my stomach.
“If I can’t have you, no one can, not even Kyle.” He snarled, as he pushed me to the ground, ripping out the knife as he did.
I screamed in pain as I fell to the ground. Blood started to flow from my wound and from the looks of it, it was deep. The warm blood stained my hands as I tried desperately to add pressure to it. Kayden headed to the back door and I knew he was actually going to leave me here alone. I was actually going to die. Tears poured from my eyes as I realized there was nothing I could do. My body became numb and I knew that wasn’t a good sign either.
