(i originally planned to just post one chapter and drop it for a few months but when i saw that my latest chapter got views immediately on the same day, i got all fired up! This is my first ever fanfiction so of course i'm excited. i can hardly believe people actually read this far! Thanks a bunch!)
It was the day of the school prom. Everyone was dressed up nicely and it was only natural that Sissy was the prettiest one there. But of course, her nasty personality just had to ruin it all and thus, she was stuck with Herb as her date. She stared at Ulrich and Yumi with jealously. The two seemed to be having so much fun yet, the prom had barely started! Oh, the nerve of the two. What did he see in Yumi anyways? Sissy was obviously prettier than her! Everyone was complimenting their partners on how beautiful they looked but when Herb complimented Sissy, she simply told him "I don't want to hear that from you!" which made Herb look down. "Okay, sorry Sissy." He muttered, wondering what he ever did wrong. Nothing. And yet, he's treated like garbage from the love of his life. How tragic. One would almost pity him. But it's also his fault for falling for 'that'.
The lyoko warriors were all here, waiting for Jeremy and Aelitha. Odd was kept busy by teasing Ulrich and Yumi on what a good couple they were and they were all laughing when they noticed Sissy's jealousy. "Oh, Ulrich" Odd swooned jokingly. "Knock it off, Odd." Ulrich said, playfully hitting his head. "Ow, that actually hurts, you know." Odd said as he rubbed his head. "Yeah, right." Ulrich said.
Soon, Aelitha came to the scene, hand in hand with Jeremy whom looked really different without his glasses. Aelitha, on the other hand was wearing a pink frilly dress, the crystal attached to her bracelet. "Well, if it isn't Einstein. If you weren't holding hands with Aelitha, then I would have never recognized you." Yumi joked.
"So the two of you had so much fun being lovey-dovey over researching that you're not afraid of holding hands in public now? I mean, we never saw you hold hands. Just flirt all night." Ulrich teased. "Through a computer." Ulrich added. It was now their turn to tease a couple. Odd looked around and scratched the back of his head. "Hey, where's Perry? I mean, Kotaro? He was just here a minute ago." The rest of the group shrugged but they weren't worried. They all knew Kotaro liked to do what he wanted and he wasn't as attached to the group like the rest of them. I mean, the group was practically glued together! It'd be a miracle to have just one day with them all apart with no communication what so ever.
The said red head was on stage, looking like a gentlemen for once instead of a hater. He took the mic, deciding to make a little opening speech. "Ladies and gents! As you look around, you may see many familiar faces. Some you love and some you despise. But for tonight, let's set all our differences aside and have as much fun as possible because your looks, your disorders, whatever you have, it doesn't define who you are. We're all somewhat the same so don't be shy! No need to be embarrassed if you don't even know how to dance. Just try your best and have as much fun as possible!" He dropped the mic and got off stage, heading towards the lyoko warriors with his hands shoved in his pants pocket. He had that cold, unapproachable aura again. "Just thought I'd lighten the mood a little." He muttered, his hair covering his eyes. "Woah, Kotaro. That was great! I never knew you had that kind of side to you! I mean, I did, but-" Odd recalled when Kotaro was alone with Kiwi. Kotaro couldn't help but smirk devilishly and pinned Odd to the wall. "If you really liked my little speech then you should give me something as an award, shouldn't you?" He whispered huskily into Odd's ear. Odd kissed Kotaro's cheek nervously. "Tsk. A kiss isn't going to cut it." He threw Odd over his shoulder and started to walk towards the exit, ignoring the stares. Odd mouthed to the other Lyokos 'save me'. Whatever happened next, was up to the imagination since unfortunately, this was a kid's show and all. But I wouldn't mind showing you what happens behind the scenes if you just drop a comment saying you want to witness it!
Yumi and Ulrich started to slow dance to the music, longingly gazing into each other's eyes. "I never thought this day would come." Yumi said. "Yeah... me neither." Ulrich held Yumi close as they closed their eyes. They were remembering the past. The first time, Ulrich had to go with Mel because Sissy was bullying her. It wasn't easy since she was so tiny. The second time, he went with Sissy because he owed her a down payment and to go out with her for a month to get Yumi out of a bind in the principal's office so she could run off to lyoko and save everyone. As they say, desperate times calls for desperate measures.
Obviously, his prom with Sissy was the worst experience of his life. Scratch that. That was the SECOND worst experience. The worst experience was the kiss and don't even get me going on how bitter it tasted! But right now, at this very moment, he was with the one he loved most. He can finally relax. "Hey, Yumi?" "What is it, Ulrich?" "Are you still mad at me about Sissy?" Yumi couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Of course not, silly. Now that I think about it, the whole fight was just stupid when the world is at stake. I'm sorry for being so selfish." "I'm sorry too." With that said, they smiled and leaned into a passionate kiss. Yumi wrapped her arms around Ulrich's neck and tilted her head as their lips melted against each other. Their tongues touched, invading each other's territory as taste buds overlapped taste buds. Now this kiss was a blast. No doubt about it. It just felt so right.
Sissy gritted her teeth and crushed the juice glass in her hand. Oh, why couldn't there be any more hot guys in this school? Kotaro was out of the picture. She had quite enough of his trickery and Ulrich only had eyes for Yumi no matter what she does! She wanted someone that was kind to her. Someone that never gave up and never fails to put her first. Someone like... for a moment, Herb popped up in her mind and she shook the thought away. He had everything but the looks and Sissy failed to see that. Clearly, a Princess should be taken away by a Prince, not by some mere servant! That was what was going on in her mindset. Now, enough of Sissy's jealousy. Let's see what Aelitha and Jeremy were up to.
Ah, yes. The awkward ones. They weren't driven by sex and demanding as Kotaro nor were they passionate as Yumi and Ulrich. They were the couple that barely had a clue how the system worked. They didn't know how to dance either but they still tried, having as much fun as they can being awkward. Even if people were staring, the two were in their own little world. Aelitha laughed a bit as Jeremy twirled her around. "This is so much fun!" She said. "Well, I'm glad that this was worth your while. I was starting to worry you wouldn't like these kind of things." Jeremy said with a smile. Oh, how he loved it when Aelitha was happy.
Here, and when she was trapped on Lyoko, he would never grow tired of her smile and laughs. Not in the past, present, and clearly no where even near the future! They were real love birds and nothing could tear them apart. "I'm so glad I can hold you." Jeremy whispered. "Me too." Aelitha whispered back as she laid her head on Jeremy's chest.
She could hear Jeremy's heart beating. And since the two thought very alike, being physically close to him like this made them feel as if they were one and the same. It was like they could read each other's minds without saying a word. Right when the two were about to kiss, of course there was an interruption. There's always an interruption during kiss scenes! Blast it all!
It was the crystal on her bracelet. It glowed black and some kind of force seemed to be pushing everything and everyone around them back. "Jeremy... it hurts." Aelitha said as she put her hand to the other, starting to whimper. "Aelitha!!!!" Jeremy shouted, trying his best to yank the crystal off without hurting her but it was one tough cookie. It didn't budge an inch let alone a mere centimeter! The contact with the crystal also made it so Jeremy was in pain. "Let go, Jeremy." "No, I won't! If you have to suffer then I will too! I will never leave you!" Jeremy shouted before the two got sucked into another dimension. Ulrich grabbed the mic. "Rest assured. That was only a grand act. A love and tragic story. How your love could easily be torn away by just the simplest of things. Everyone, spend every moment with them to the fullest!"
(Eeek! I've been noticing my views rising by at least 6 since I've edited these and all but don't you worry! I'm working on the next chapter right now! If it's not done by tomorrow then maybe the next day! I'll definitely get it published, promise!)
