"Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out." -Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper
6 Minutes
Six minutes till it's all over, till the pains ends. Six more minutes of being on this cruel planet. Six more minutes of feeling blood ooze out of my body. Six minutes wishing that karma pays some people, no, monsters, a visit.
5 Minutes
Five minutes of being alone, you enter the world with aid from others but you always leave it alone. There's no one there to help you along, you make the journey by yourself into darkness.
4 Minutes
Four minutes left of a beating heart that slows by the second. Four minutes of wishing things could have been different. Four minutes full of regrets.
3 Minutes
Three minutes of struggling to breath. Three minutes of my lungs rapidly expanding and compressing. Three more minutes left on the cold hard ground in this dark place. Three minutes left to hear the drip drip drip of water.
2 Minutes
Two minutes left till I'm relieved of my suffering, of my emotions. Two minutes left of thoughts. Two minutes left to say goodbyes to people who aren't here. Two minutes left to wish they were here with me. That I wasn't alone.
1 Minute
Only one minute left now. One minute of struggling to keep my eyes open. A minute of my body slowly shutting down. One minute of hearing frantic shouts of my name getting closer.
Times Up
The last drop of blood has fallen, the last breath has left my lungs, the last thought has left my mind. I descend into darkness as the door bursts open.
