The word spread throughout Nohr quickly and voulenteers to fight came flooding into the castle. Siegbert And Forrest we're managing them all right now with their retainers. Soleil, Ophelia, Nina, and Ignatuis were talking to the troops and readying them for the March tomarrow to go confront Hoshido about this murder.

"Cousin, I'm not so sure about this."

Forrest looks at his own nimble hands. They were covered by his normal brown gloves. Siegbert looked over at his cousin and fellow Nohrian prince.

"About What?"

Siegbert noticed his cousin fidgeting his fingers. He shifted himself inside of the chair he sat in. Well, throne rather. Both of them were in the Nohrian throneroom. He was in the queen's throne and Siegbert in the king's.

"Blaming then Hoshidans? I'm honestly not quite sure. How do we know that the so called Assasin was even Hoshidan? The wepin could have been a gift. This could be a misunderstanding to Hoshido. We have a treaty and peace!"

Forrest was obviously passionate about this topic. He had a great many friends back in the Hoshidan kingdom. Once of which being the bride of Prince Takumi, Oboro. She was a fellow tailor and they both got along well. Siegbert had an almost cold look in his eyesight, but it instantly vanished. He didn't let himself become a wrath filled being. That wasn't him.

"You weren't there. Besides, Father's orders were to go to war. We can't disobey My Father."

Forrest looked down again. Siegbert's voice was flat. He was obviously suffering form the important losses. His mother being the dearest to him. Burn he couldn't imagine the pain of Forrest losing Elise. She was the first and only person who believed in him at first. But het Forest wasn't completely jumping to conclusions for Vengance. He was better than that. But who isn't to say Siegbert wasn't?

"But why isn't Uncle Xander taking this into account? I'm sure we can talk this out peacefully and no bloodshed will be required."

He puffed out his cheeks stubbornly, just like Aunt Elise would if She didn't get that extra cookie for dessert. He was another to stand up when his cousin grabbed his wrist. Forrest sat back down and looked back at Seigbert, who had a solemn look painted across his face.

"My father isn't himself lately. Since the assasination two days ago he won't talk to anyone and he shuts them out. If they are too stubborn he will force them away. Violently. Trust me, Uncle Leo and his retainers have tried reaching him."

Forrest had a reaction to hearing his father's name.

"Father? He won't even listen to Father?"

Siegbert shook his head. They both looked down to the floor of the throne room. Silence filled the air until the doors opened. They looked up, expecting to see their retainers but instead were met with Aunt Camilla.

"Oh sweethearts. If only we didn't have to bring you into this."

She sadly looked at the boys and walked up them. Forrest looked like he was going to break down entirely. Siegbert watched him hold back tears As Camilla brought him into a tight hug. She did always give the best hugs.

She turned and wrapped her arms around Siegbert. She had a comforting, safe presence when she gave an embrace. Siegbert just wanted to stay there and sleep. He didn't want any more wrath or violence, despite the fact the war didn't even start yet.

"But we do. Siegbert, darling, we need you on the front lines. We cant risk Xander's death and you are his equal in combat and authority. Forrest, you can go with him or we can send you off to a Neutral kingdom while we fight. I know you loathe war."

Forrest cringed when he was mentioned in this conversation but relaxed when he was told he wasn't forced to take the battlefields. He nodded. Siegbert was still processing's what his Aunt just said. Seigbert had to lead all the troops and take the front lines as a commander. He was basically going to ne the equivalent of a general

"Yes Aunt Camilla. Please, don't hurt anyone unnecessary."

Camilla nodded at Forrest and she handed him a pendant.

"This used to belong to Elise. She'd want you to have it."

Forrest took the pendant and he let a tear roll down his cheek. Camilla leaned and wiped it away. Forrest ran into her for a tight embrace.

"You should leave before you are forced to fight, darling."

Forrest let out a whimper before obeying. He went out to the stables to find his horse and ride away From the pandemonium that is war. Camilla turned to Siegbert when he was out of sight. He was still processing the role he was given.

"You want me to lead?"

Camilla placed a hand on her nephew's shoulder. Seigbert had never seen her look so serious.

"Not just me, all of Nohr. We're counting on you."

Siegbert had pressure, but this wasn't even close to the pressure he'd be dealing with in the path down the road.
