CHAPTER TEN
2ND POV

A set of coordinates.

That had been it. That was all the mech had said before hanging up and leaving you to question the situation in your berthroom.

Did Megatron seriously just call you in the middle of the night again?

Yup.

Were you going to meet up with him again?

   Yes.

You were quite pissed at him still for all that had happened since your last meeting. You wouldn't let it show, or at least, you hoped you wouldn't. But what was really important at the moment, was sneakily getting through with no witnesses whatsoever. Luckily, you knew your sire wasn't working late into the night at the monitors, so you'd have a clear path! The humans weren't sleeping over tonight either, thank Primus.

You swung your legs over the side of the berth and exited your room, stretching your limbs as you went. You glanced down the hall at the relic chambers and clamped your denta together. You remembered Bumblebee stole the Spark Extractor from Megatron recently, and lost and regained his T-Cog as well. Hopefully, the warmonger wasn't still angry about the whole your-team-took-one-of-his-relics thing, even though it happened like, yesterday.

You laughed quietly and nervously to yourself as you approached the main room. You heaved a sigh as soon as you discovered nobody was there. You stealthily walked over and tapped in the coordinates before pulling down the lever. The sound of the bridge opening scared you because was so loud compared to the silence around you (minus Bulkhead's loud snoring).

You made sure that your portable ground-bridge remote was safely tucked away in your subspace. You specifically invented it for things like this; You sneaking around at night for one reason or another.

You jogged into the portal with hope fresh in your spark and let it close behind you. Nobody would know what happened or who you'd been with. You could keep that up, couldn't you?

Once you emerged from the other side of the bridge, it closed behind you. You surveyed your surroundings with a strong sense of familiarity and walked through the forest until it hit you: this was the place you'd driven through to find and repair Megatron. The nostalgia set in. It was an event that changed both of your lives. But, what exactly was the purpose?

"Do you remember this place?" He asked suddenly, coming out from behind you. You shrieked in surprise and slammed your servos over your intake as you stared at him. It was dark here too—the forest looked like that out of a horror film. The only reaction he gave to your fear was a light chuckle before he stared up at the stars solemnly.

"I-er-uh-um, yeah. Y-yeah, I remember," You replied, stumbling over your words. After a moment of silence that always seemed to be present in your conversations, you spoke quickly and nervously, "Why'd you call me here? If you want the Spark Extractor, I'm not handing it over. Or are you still angry about the whole we-stole-your-space-bridge thing?"

"Truthfully, in this moment, I am feeling rather lenient. Besides, our meetings have not had much to do about war, and I'm sure you'd like to keep it that way." He folded his servos behind his backstruts, before turning around and walking over to a tree. It had a very thick and dark trunk. He released his servos, leaned against the tree, and slid to the ground with his optics closed. You watched it all with curiosity and confusion.

"Our meetings were never about much of anything?" Your annoyance with him began setting in, but curiously laced your voice. "What are they about? To you? Are our meetings a sort of escape for you?" You hesitantly walked over to the same tree and stood by his side. Megatron half opened his ruby red optics, glanced at you, and closed them again.
