Chapter 2;-Red & Yellow+Red & Blue

I put the key in the ignition and turn it,As I adjust the review mirror I saw in my preferal vision that amethyst had no seatbelt on I turn to her "amethyst seatbelt" I say sternly.

She groans but puts the seatbelt on,she knew better than to argue with me.I couldn't stop thinking about the awkward moment that just happened.

What on earth was I thinking??.I push my worries to the side,tonight's all about Steven and Amethyst as well as convincing them that I'm not a complete dweeb.

I put the car in drive "let's go have fun!" I say in pure excitement and reverse out of the parking lot.The car ride was unusually quiet for the next 10 minutes not Steven nor Amythest and I were talking.

Amthyest didn't seem to notice if she did nonetheless she turned the radio up loud and was nodding her head to the music while she threw her hands up.

I on the other hand was too wrapped up on how familiar the mystery girl looked,why does she look so much like...

I was deep in thought but was abruptly stopped when Steven spoke up he puts both hands on either side of amethysts and my chair

He leaned forward as if reading my thoughts he comments "isn't anyone gunna say it" he asked looking from me to amethyst who looked genuinely confused.

I guess she didn't notice after all,and I thought Steven was the naive one.I couldn't look at Steven,I knew all too well that my face would give away the fact that he was right.

As well as give away the secret history behind me and rose I grip the steering wheel and kept my eyes forward.

"Oh come on for petes sake that girl at big donuts looked like mom!" Steven says as if it was fact rather than a opinion,with a slight hint of frustration.

Strangely enough he didn't seem so sad talking about Rose that's the thing about Steven he's always positive,I love that about him.

"Pearl noticed!" he pointed out "I noticed!,Amethyst noticed! we ALL noticed!!" he frantically waves his arms around.

Amethyst stops nodding her head to the music and her eyes light up in realisation.Her mouth forms a "O" shape Steven then looks at me

"You don't know what your talking about" I refrain myself from getting angry and contain my composure.
"Ohhhhhh,that's why you were acting strange?"

Amethyst clicks as she notes it down as more than a fact than a feeling. But this time it was Stevens turn to be confused Amethyst then lets out a loud laugh.

My cheeks turn warm instantly I scold myself for blushing so much "that was in the past,I wanna leave my past behind and focus on the future" I say sternly.

"Now let's have some fun shall we?" I grin from ear to ear hoping that wasn't a dead giveaway that I didn't wanna talk about it,something in me lit up and I find myself changing gears making us go faster.

"Pearl!,slow down your gunna crash!" Steven yells shocked.On the other hand Amethyst was enjoying this new side to me that she had never seen before.

So much that she puts her hands in the air "Wooo nice one P" my heart races that's when Amethyst sticks her head out the window letting the breeze ruffle up her already messy hair.

I slow down and travel to the normal speed limit Wooo that was a rush my heart beat was slowly becoming steady again.

"It's ok Pearl,maybe we'll see her at the party" Steven says hopefully Amethyst shakes her head "I doubt anyone THAT cool would show up to a party like this" she says.

I felt my heart race at the thought of maybe seeing her there but the unlikelyness of it made me nervous I knew better than to get my hopes up. (Vote if you can relate lol)
