A prisoner was killed by a cellmate in 1839. The victim was imprisoned in 1837 for stealing a ciborium from the church. The murderer said that during the night he heard a voice telling him to kill his cellmate. He got a plank from the bed and struck him until he died.
The pen slipped from her hand, softly landing on her notebook. Blinking, Taehyung grabbed her pen and continued to write.
In the chapter about female prisoners, it is mostly focused on a woman called Mary. In 1878, she was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison. At that time female prisoners were kept in a separate prison, but later she turned out to have male characteristics and was transferred to the male prison.
Taehyung cocked her head and reread her work. Sighing in frustration, she discarded her pen and and plopped down on her bed, checking her duffel bag once again to check is she had everything with her. Ballet shoes, water bottle, a cardigan in case she got chilly, her leotard...
Suddenly something fell out of her bag, landing with a soft thud on the carpeted floor. Scrambling off her bed, she picked it up. Placing the fallen book back in her bag, she swiftly closed it and checked the time on her phone. It was almost time.
Taehyung couldn't help but feel giddy as she thought of what would come. Her dance instructor had trained with her non-stop these last few weeks and the routine was near perfect. She couldn't thank her instructor enough for this opportunity, sure they have to keep it a secret from her father, but it would all be worth it.
