"That's a Nice way to start writing a song, Jerome, sounds like something something deep from your heart. Just tell me, I'll be coming to see you perform anyways." I said reluctantly.
"You know about the girl I like at school? Yeah, she's going to..." Jerome paused as I replied instantly, spitting some of my pomegranate juice into the glass.
"Oh my God. A girl? You like? What's her name?" I asked. "Chill out Diane, her name is Laura. Also, the song is meant to be for her, I just want her to notice that I like her. I've tried it in class but it failed, a few times. She's going to be at the festival and I want her to notice. And I've freshed out of ideas. So that's the only way for her to notice me." Jerome responded.
"You're really smart though Jerome, I thought you were making the song based on something else."
I went up to my bedroom and switched on the air conditioner & jumped straight into bed to relax, But instead, I fell asleep.

The next day on, I felt someone shaking my body, opening my eyes, I saw my beloved father saying, "Diane, wake up darling. It's time for school. Wake up and get ready." I rose from my bed and grabbed my towel and had a morning shower and did my morning routine. After drying my hair, curled it perfectly, and wore a pink top with my favorite summer skirt that Jerome bought for me during the summer holidays. I went downstairs to have my breakfast,
"Not bad for a fashion lady like you, Diane," Jerome complimented, "You look absolutely beautiful."
I sat at the dining area to have my dad's homemade pancakes. My phone suddenly vibrated and rang. I picked up my phone and answer the call from Janine.
"Hello? Janine? Why are you calling me like in the morning?" I asked, confused.
"Oh, sorry to bother you, I was wondering if you would love to have a quality time with me and William after school today? William's cousin, Ben, came from Australia to pay him a visit, is going with us too, hope you don't mind," Janine replied, without taking a breathe and sighed after saying the sentences.
"Uh no, no, I don't mind, sure I'll be there, I would definitely spend time with my besties. Thanks for asking." I thanked.
I hung up and placed my phone down and asked my dad about joining the basketball team.
"Um, Dad? Can I join the basketball CCA, well, Noah asked me to join it, since I left the Drama club long ago. So will you let me?"
"Normally I would not allow you to join because you like some guy, But since you need the points I'll give it to you," my father agreed. "Oh thank you!"
I rushed out of the house with my bag, heading towards the direction of my school, passing the gigantic statue shaped of a star in the city that I could see from the hill.
"W-wait up! Diane!" Suddenly, a charming voice came from somewhere, I stopped and looked around and saw a boy coming towards me, he was holding a bouquet of roses, and offered them to me. "I'm here, Diane." I rejected the roses.
"Uhh, do I know you? But if you'll excuse me, I need to rush to school because I'm late for class," I replied quickly as I sprinted off to my school. "B-b-but Diane! Wait! I was the one who--" he couldn't complete the sentence as I had already sprinted off far enough.

I reached the front gate of my school and ran up to my classroom and knocked the door, surprised to see the class had already started.
"Ah, hello miss beautiful, you're so early, why don't you take a seat? No. Stay where you are." My teacher, Ms. O'Donald, also known as my pesky neighbour. She's always been sarcastic to me, ever since I moved in because the previous tenant of the mansionate I lived in was a man Ms. O'Donald loved, and now he has forgotten about her.
I took a deep breathe and sighed and whispered to myself, "No need for sass, sass queen."
I let myself in a sat at my table, in the class we were grouped as pods, I was with my pod, I loved my pod, it includes me, Janine, William and Joshua but Joshua moved out last year, and we had only three people left in our pod.
"Nice top and summer skirt, Diane!" Janine complimented. "Well, I got my sweater, so that ain't bad."
"Thanks Janine. I really appreciate that. Oh, so we'll be heading out today after school? What's the plan?" I asked. "Ice Cream? Shopping?"
"Even better, we're going to shop at the Star Plaza and have frappucino at your favorite place, oh you know, Starbucks. Oh and we'll catch the new movie!" Janine said with a burst of excitement.
"Sounds fun, I'm in! Thanks for this!" I said.

The bell rang to signal the students and teachers that it was the time to have a break, or recess.
I walked towards the Basketball court to see if Noah was there, and suddenly, I felt a warm hand on my shoulder, and a voice spoke, "So decided whether you want to join the Basketball CCA? Or rather not have any CCA?"
I turned back and saw Noah, with his beautiful blue eyes and his dirty blond hair shining under the sunlight.
"Yeah, my dad did allow me to join the basketball CCA, so when is the upcoming training sessions?" I asked, flattered by his appearance.
"Actually, the training sessions are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. And if it's necessary there's also extra training on Sundays, meet us at the court tomorrow at 2:30PM okay? Don't lose track of time." As he flooded the information at me and left abruptly.
I went to the cafeteria next to the canteen, and sat with Janine and William while sharing desserts with them.
I whispered to myself, "Which should I try first? Blackforest cake or Raspberry Pie? Oh I don't know, they're both so good!"
