2. 'The Spot'

That same night, Alexis Hastings sat on her bed, writing in her journal. There was a knock on her bedroom door, ''Come in''

''Hi darling, Dad and I are going to go to a movie, would you like to join us, we could get smoothies after!'' Alexis' mom, Teri asked

''No thank you, I.. uh, gotta study for finals, and I don't really want to be out, after what happened to Justine. You guys go, ill be fine... bring me back a strawberry smoothie tho!'' 

''Alexis, you cant stay stuck in here forever, it's starting to smell'' Teri said

'Mom, I'm fine. I Promise, go, I love you.'' Alexis said getting up, and closing her door, forcing her mother out.

Alexis walked back to her bed, and sat down signing back onto her MacBook, putting on some calming music, she went back to write in her journal.

''3 days, Justine's body was found, just 3 days ago, in the woods... behind her house. 1 month, Justine was dead, for a whole month. How did we not notice? Is it because we were on Spring break? Is it because I wasn't here... Is it my fault she's dead? Justine's death is effecting me, in ways I didn't think were possible, I have never been this stressed. Never''

Alexis walked out of her room, and down the hall to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. She was a very pretty girl, almost as pretty as Justine. Alexis had beautiful almond like hair, with beautiful brown eyes. She was very petite for her age tho, with a loving, caring boyfriend who supported and helped her with her problems.

She logged onto Snapchat, after a week of being logged off. She texted her boyfriend 'Baby!! <3'

''Hey babe, feelin down... cant wrap my head around this Justine news, meet up? Our spot? I Love you, please don't stay mad at me for earlier... I.. I'm sorry'' Alexis typed, than sent the message, Hoping for a quick response.

''It's ok, I cant stay mad at you. Lots of love, see you soon, -J''

Alexis smiled, put her phone in her little purse, told her sister, Piper she would be back, than ran for her car. She got into the drivers seat, and pulled out of the garage.

15 minutes later she pulled into 'The spot' where her and Jay would meet up, and hangout alone. They made this they're place in 9th grade.

''Hey baby'' Jay smiled getting off his bike, He smiled and pulled Alexis into a hug, She closed her eyes.

''Hey, First day, Huh?'' Jay asked

''Uh, Yah, 6th grade starting off at a new school, fun.'' Alexis said ''I'm sorry, I'm awkward''

''Nah, it's cool. I'm new too. I'm Jay''

''I'm Alexis''

''Lexi, sweet'' Jay laughed, causing Alexis to have a smile. ''Ahh! Beautiful!''

''Stop,'' Alexis giggled ''Who do you have?''

''Mr. Hanley, You?'' Jay said

''Same'' Alexis smiled

''Let's walk together?''

'Yes! Please' Alexis smiled following behind Jay, and after that they became instant best friends. Until Jay asked her out 7 months later.

''Babe, is everything ok?'' Jay asked, bringing Alexis out of her thoughts.

''I just miss Justine, That's all, she was my second friend here,'' Alexis said, getting sad. Jay held her tight, and kissed her forehead. ''We will find out who did this, I promise babe''

Jay's phone went off, and seconds later, so did Alexis'. They checked their phones at the same time.

''Justine wasn't so 'Perfect' After all, and now she's dead...''

Lexi dropped her phone, and turned to Jay, holding his hand, and placing her other hand on his chest. ''W-What did that mean?''

''I-I don't know....'' Jay replied, looking around, seeing ambulance's driving fast down the road.
