Monday Morning, 7:59am.
Alexis walked into her school, and headed up the stairs to her locker. When she arrived, there was a card, and a few roses. She grabbed the card, and looked at the envelope. 'My love' Alexis ripped it open, and began to read. 'It's officially been 6 years today. I am so thankful for you my baby. And you have so many surprises coming... Better get ready, because nothing will prepare you for what happens next..'
Jay and Alexis were the older ones of the group, the more mature ones too. They were all close in age, Jay, Alexis and Jordyn were come-backs tho. Olivia, Justine and Kate were grade 11 students. Alexis, Jordyn and Jay had graduated and came back for a leap year.
'Hey baby, I see you got my letter' Jay smiled hugging Alexis from behind, she turned and smiled.
'What's my surprise?'
'Well if I told you now, than you wouldn't be surprised.. Think big,. That's you're only hint. You can find out over dinner tonight, I bought you a really pretty dress, and I dropped it off with your mom. I hope that's ok?'
'That's perfect. What time will you pick me up?' Lex asked
'5:30, And I have permission to have you until 11.' Jay joked
'Oh my god, past curfew, ill be dead' Lexi laughed, kissing Jay again, Mr. Walker walked over.
'Alexis, hi.'
'Hey Mr. W' Alexis smiled
'I heard about Justine.. I just wanted to apologize, and if you need time, or someone to talk to, I am here'
'Thanks, but ill be ok' Alexis said, grabbing Jay's hand, and walking down the hall. 'Man, he always creeps me out'
The bell to first period rang, and Jay, Alexis and Olivia gathered into Geography.
'Good Mornin class, I'm Mrs. Backstar'
'Good Morning Mrs. Backstar' The class said, as if they were grade 2's.
'Mr. Scott is out for the next couple of days, so I will be you're teacher, until this Friday, The day of summer vacation!'
Class ended around 10, Jay had a spare, so he went and got coffee for him and Alexis. When he got back, Alexis was in the principal office.
'What's going on here?' Jay asked walking in, looking confused.
'Hi Jay, It's so nice of you to be here' Teri, Lexi's mom.
'Hi Teri... Is everything ok?' Jay asked
'No, I'm afraid not' Teri said 'Have a seat.'
'Lex.. what's going on?' Jay asked
'I.. I'm no longer getting the scholarship.. They declined it because I could be an accessory to Justine's death' Alexis sighed, looking like she was about to burst into tears.
'I was gone 20 minutes, when did they tell you?' Jay asked
'Not even 10 minutes after you left, I got a call, and my mom came in explaining everything. They think since Justine and I were friends, Id have a motive for wanting her dead'
'This is bullshit,! You were with me at a play,' Jay said
'And we know that, Jay. But the school board doesn't, and they cant risk it' Teri said 'It is very much bull, but there really isn't anything we can do'
'God, you get punished and excluded because of Justine, wow. Things never do change' Jay said
'What are you talking about? Justine an Lexi were good friends' Teri said
'Jay please, don't do this. Not today' Alexis asked
'Justine wasn't a great friend to Alexis. She was so jealous of Alexis being happy, and successful that she threatened to burry your daughter if she didn't give me and her grades up! Not everyone was Justine's biggest fan, and someone who hated her did kill her'
'Lexi, is this true?' Teri asked
'Y-Yes..' Alexis said 'I'm sorry I never said anything, just.. I didn't take it seriously.'
'Well, we can talk about this later. Jay has a very nice evening planned. You enjoy your night, and ill see you around 11?'
'Of course, I love you mom' Alexis smiled, giving her a hug. 'As do i' her mother responded.
5:30, Le Chate.
'This place is beautiful!' Alexis smiled, as Jay held the door open.
'The best for my beautiful baby' Jay smiled, kissing her lips. 'Reservation for Hastings' Jay said
'Right this way' The woman smiled taking them to the fanciest looking table in the restaurant.
'You're going all out, huh?' Alexis asked
'It's a big deal, 6 years together. I never expected it' Jay said
'Hehe' Lexi giggled, smiling.
After dinner, Jay drove for about an hour, until he arrived at an unfamiliar place.
'Babe, where are we?' Alexis asked
'Follow me, trust me'
Jay led her inside, it was pitch black, he walked up some stairs, placing Alexis into a chair, and lighting candles all around. It formed a heart shape. Jay sat in front of her.
'babe whats going on?' Alexis asked worried.
'Alexis, 7 years ago, I met you. You were my best friend, my lover, my everything. 7 years ago, I couldn't have asked for me to meet someone better. Without you, I probably wouldn't have came this far. You're my forever, in my heart I truly believe that. And I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone but you, were both moving on with our lives, starting Friday. We will both be 18 soon, and I know this Is an early age, but honestly I could care less, because living without you is terrible, So I'm doing it. I'm doing it tonight, Alexis Hastings. Will you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?' Jay asked pulling out a beautiful box, with a beautiful diamond ring. Alexis sat and looked in shock, her eyes filled with tears.
