"One more time. That's...?" Hailey asks Dean while I draw in my book Sam across from me, "Anasazi symbols. It's for protection. The Wendigo can't cross over them." Dean says and Roy laughs, "Nobody likes a skeptic, Roy." I say without looking up, "Really?" Roy asks and Dean comes over, "What you got there?" He asks, grabbing my book, "Hey! Give it back!" I yell, but he ignores looking at the drawings.

He and Sam look at them wide eyed before I grab it out of their hands and slam it shut, cheeks burning, "You never told us you could draw." Dean says and I snap, "It's not something I show people." "You should. It's amazing." Sam tells me, I look at him before nodding thank you. Dean turns to Sam, "You want to tell me what's going on in that freaky head of yours?" Dean asks and I start on a new drawing.

"Dean..." Sam trails off and I say, "Your not fine nor should you be. I was wrong for saying that, I forgot not everyone was in the army. I'm sorry." I don't look up as I say this because I'm trying to swallow my pride, "I'm supposed to be the belligerent one, remember?" Dean says and there's quiet before Sam says, "Dad's not here. I mean, that much we know for sure, right? He would have left us a message, a sign, right?" Dean hesitates before saying, "Yeah, your probably right. To tell you the truth, I don't think dad's ever been to lost creek."

Sam looks at him, "Then let's get these people back to town, and let's hit the road... go find dad. I mean, why are we still even here?" Sam asks sighing, I sigh and look up, "You still don't get it, neither of you do." I say and look down as they look at me, Dean sits across from Sammy, next to me and pulls out their dad's journal. Dean pats it, "This is why... this book. This is dad's single most valuable possession. Everything he knows about every Evil thing is in here. And he's passed it on to us. I think he wants us to pick up where we left off--you know, saving people, hunting things... the family business." Dean tells him.

Sam looks at him cross before saying, "That makes no sense. Why--Why doesn't he just call us? Why doesn't he tell us what he wants, tell us where he is?" Dean looks down, "I don't know. But the way I see it, dad's given us a job to do, and I intend to do it." I sigh closing my book, Rule #3: Never be unreachable. Sam looks at Dean, "Dean... no. I gotta find dad. I gotta find Jessica's killer. It's the only thing I can think about." Rule #10: Never get personally involved in a case.

"Okay, all right. Sam, we'll find them. I promise. Listen to me. You've got to prepare yourself. I mean, this search could take a while. And all that anger, you can't keep it burning over the long haul. It's gonna kill you. You got to have patience, man." Dean says to Sam and Sam shakes his head, "How do you do it? How does dad do it?" Sam asks and I respond, "I know one. Them." I nod my head toward Hailey and her brother, "I mean, I figure our family's so screwed to hell, maybe we can help some others. It makes things a little bit more bearable." Dean finishes and we all look at the little family, "And I'll tell you what else helps... killing as many evil sons of b*tches as I possibly can." Dean says.

They smile a bit at each other, when we hear a man scream for help, getting up swiftly we head to the fire and I take out my gun, "It's trying to draw us out. Just stay cool. Stay put." Dean says calmly and Roy asks sarcastically, "Inside the magic circle?" I turn to him, "Shut the f*ck up, Roy. We don't need this right now." Turning back around, I keep searching the darkness, as we hear a growl Roy says, "Okay, that's no grizzly." "Thanks, Captain Obvious." I say over my shoulder.

"It's okay. We'll be all right, I promise." Hailey comforts her shaking brother, it growls from behind us and we spin around as Hailey screams, "It's here." Roy says and shoots at it, it moves and he shoots again until we hear a yelp, "I hit it!" He exclaims running out of the circle, "Roy, no!" I yell. He keeps going and I go after him, the boys yelling for me, "JJ!" The boys show up behind me as I find out Roy is gone.
