Adam excitement had got him out of bed very early on Monday Selena was putting his things together walk him over to Gabriela home before Steven was able to get out of bed they were about ready when they got there, Steven wanted to see stevia but it was already too late he miss her again, and today he had to did over time, even Adam was asleep,
"He got home tired sir it seems he had a long day he was almost sleeping when miss Gabriela walk him home good thing she let him shower at her place"
Steven nod "I'm just going to bed myself I'll see you in the morning thank you" Steven said
"Sir have a goodnight" they both went their own way,
Gabriela had taken Tuesday off to spend the day with stevia, both of her parents went to the farm Raymond was at work and Rena took the boys to her parents, Gabriela and stevia were both home alone they sat on the porch while she play with her toys she held on to her box of cereal,
Gabriela was thinking back on when Steven stop by this morning before stevia was up, and came to the kitchen to thank her for taking Adam to the beach, "like your daughter he's still a sleep but Selena said he seems he had a good time"
"I don't need your thanks I didn't do anything for you so no need to thank me" she told him feeling she was a little hash Rena had told her she was after coming in to hear,
"Gabriela why is it you are acting like I did something bad to you I've been trying to make it right why is it that you hate me so much?" He didn't say anything more when they realize Rena was in the door way he left right away,
"What happened?" Rena had ask hoping to get the truth but was dumb when Gabriela told her her daughter was Steven's child that she had met him in collage and after just one night of sex she became pregnant, she didn't get the full details for Raymond had came to the kitchen they left shortly after her parents did,
"Can I have milk mommy please?" Stevia ask because she was having the cereal Gabriela decided to bring water too it was lunch time and she made her self a sandwich from slice bread and cheese she didn't want to leave stevia alone for long so she make it quickly and head back to the porch,
Stevia saw the car coming by as she life her head "yeah!" She squeal jumping up but it drove by without stopping her little mine lead her to believe it was steven for it was the same colour she couldn't determine that the licences plate were different in pursue to see her father she walk off the front porch and to the gate on pushing it it flew open she started off running to where she saw the car heading running as fast as her little feet could carry her, the car got through the gate long before she was able to reach when she got there the gate was already close but she squeeze in through the space between the gate, she didn't see anyone when she walk up to the large doors and push at them they didn't open when she try them the sound of a dog barking got her attention she turn to follow the sound and walk to the side of the house, the big viscous dog lassie was standing in front of her sniffing and growling, but instead of tearing her to pieces he lick the chocolate from her hand she hug him giggling as his viscous barking became friendly,
"Pumpkin!" Gabriela called when she saw that her daughter wasn't on the front porch she look around calling pumpkin where are you honey" she was gone and so was her chocolate cereal after looking for over an hour in the house and in the yard Gabriela start asking around if anyone had seen her but they all said no she went back to look around the house three hours pass and no one saw her daughter she phone Rena at work to tell her "pumpkin is gone I can't find find her anywhere" Rena was shock she leave work right away get the boys at her parents she couldn't explained to them apart from to say its an emergency, Rena had called Raymond to tell him on her way home by she got home they were all there with a few of the neighbor's Raymond had call the police and they came just as Rena came in the drive way,
"Have you called Steven?" Rena ask remembering that it was this morning she learn pumpkin was his daughter, Gabriela shook her head"aren't you going to call him?"Rena ask she shook her head against
"Maybe you should"
"No Rena I can't he already threatened to take her from me I don't want to make it worst I want to find her before its too late" Gabriela shake Rena with tears "are you going to help me" she beg Rena nod,
Steven came up to see the gathering at the Simmons gate with the police present there his daughter flash in his mind he almost jump from the vehicle before it park running to the front porch "what happened?" He ask a lady standing there "the little girl can't be found" the lady said Steven mouth flew open in fright as he ran to the door burst through the door "Gabriela where's pumpkin?" He ask "where is she what have you done to her?"
"She seems to have wonder off" Rena said, "she was home with her mother and she just disappear"
"you lost her Gabriela how could you just let her slip away from you like that, are you out of your mind what happened that you weren't watching her she's three years old god dam it do you think of what can happen to her out there? I keep on for getting you're young and immature you don't know to think but still I wasn't expecting you to be so stupid to lost your own child"
Rena look from Steven to Gabriela, then back to Steven he look to be angry, frustrated, frightened, scared, all at once Rena could only imagine he was just getting to know his daughter the thought of loosing her must be devastating,
Gabriela was crying for she didn't know what to do and Steven was making it worst with all his shouting
"Why you crying Gabriela what good crying going to do as if its going to solve anything.
" Steven what do you want from me?" Gabriela scream tearfully "its not like I just watch her walk away an let her go on purpose, she wanted milk and I went in the kitchen to get it for her she had never done this before how was I to know she would just walk away now?" She hiss pushing him out of her way she was walking to ward the entrance of the street calling pumpkin, several of times when they follow her out, Rena rest a hand on Steven who was fusing and sweating as he move away and start pasting the floor, the way he moves it felt to Rena as thou the concrete floor was shaking, he pulled his cellphone from his pocket and make a few phone calls it wasn't long before a few persons from the fire department came there to four men from the SWAT team and two soldiers one of them who address Steven as Chief Scott it was now Rena learn he was Chief of the fire department the he greet him with a hand shake and the other embrace him it seems they knew each other before he was explaining to them giving a description of the little girl her height her size her weight her hair,
"She was wearing a pink dress down to her knees with a red fire engine on the front" Gabriela explain when she hear Steven talking to the others
"She's your daughter?" One of the two soldier man ask
"Yes she's my daughter" Gabriela answer nodding when the tears started to flow
"We'll find her Gabriela" Steven promise, " I promise you, she's going to be just fine" he assure her I know how awful you must be feeling right now, and I haven't been making it easy "
Gabriela look up at him, in his eyes she could see pain and anguish, while she was getting more and more impatient and the rest of family shaking.
They were looking everywhere a few of them even went to Steven house asking Sophie and Selena if they saw her, when they left Sophie call Steven.
Steven cellular phone rang again for the fourteen time since Sophie start calling, he took a deep breath and answer it this time,
"Its important that you come now I'll tell you when you get here" Sophie said Steven wonder what could be more important than finding his daughter he didn't want to leave Gabriela not in the state and condition she is in,
"My wife called" he told Rena "I have to go see what's happening at home and check in on Adam, see to it Gabriela is alright for me and they haven't stop searching they won't stop searching until she's found" he turn to look at Gabriela walking a round the living room before he leave Gabriela walk to the front porch to see him getting in his car wondering how he could just leave her like that,
"I heard that half the neighborhood is out looking for the little girl that went missing this afternoon" Sophie said when she meet Steven in the living room,
"Yes we were out looking for her, you call saying you need me here what was it" he ask
"You're my husband why do I need a reason to want you home?"
"Dad you came?" Adam said running to him Steven bend to meet him and they share a big hug "did they find her dad?" He ask
"Not yet but they will soon its getting late too she should be home with her mother, and you you should be in bed"
"I've been trying to get him to go to bed for the longest of time sir but he insist on waiting up until you get home" Selena said
"Its OK, Adam come over here sit beside me"
"Sir they came here asking if we seen miss Gabriela daughter, she wonder off and no one saw her is she home yet?"
"Not yet Selena they're still looking
" oh lord pour little girl all alone out there without her mother, and miss Gabriela must be devastating now i can see the love she has for that little girl, that pretty little pumpkin, we should go by and see what we can do to help"
Adam look at his father thought he was young he was a wear that his dad wasn't in a right frame of mine, he rest his hand upon his resting gentle on his chest where he could feel his heart pounding the look on his face was enough to tell he was worried sick.
"Why you all so worried about it shouldn't her mother be watching her didn't they say she was home with her when she went missing maybe she just got tired of her and let her wonder off, Selena take Adam off to bed so my husband can spend time with me let them fix their problem"
"Gabriela would never let pumpkin go away she love her and take care of her" Adam cries out jumping up from beside Steven running off to his room Selena went after him giving him her shoulder to cry on"
It took Steven a while before he could move from sitting with his face buried in his hand, he wants to cry and scream for her let it all out but he fight back the tears that gather in the back of his eyes he went to Adam room but he was sleeping Selena was still with him he sat on the edge of his bed when Selena saw his grey eyes they look so watery before she ask any question,
"She's my daughter" Steven said
"Sir" Selena said
"Yes Selena pumpkin is my daughter its recently I've learn it I only told Adam a few days ago that he has a sister he was looking forward to having fun with his sister now she can't be found"
Selena was wondering how he get to learn just now that he has a daughter that is almost four years old until he explain that they met when she was in collage and after going to bed once she found out he was married she didn't want that kind of life and stop seeing me after she stop going to collage he look for her an couldn't find her then he saw her here in town she didn't tell him about her daughter but he came to meet her when he visit Adam school for out of no where she came running to him hugging him he had met her a number of time and didn't know who's child she was until he was running by Gabriela home and saw her ran out to him he was surprise that she call Gabriela mommy, it was so he came to learn that she drop out of collage, she name her stevia Scott after me"
"Oh sir! I'm so sorry I know you must be hurting so bad you two has only started bonding, it will be OK sir even I will go down in the morning and help to find her" Selena said but Steven worried that a three years old child out there alone at this hour of the night what will be the result comes tomorrow, the thought of pumpkin hurt some where make him fall to his knees and weep,
Selena didn't know what to say apart from to have faith she's fine nothing will go wrong with her"
"Steven nod he want to believe that she'll be fine too he force a smile " its OK you can go to bed now" Selena said goodnight and left him going back down stairs to her room, after Steven left Adam he took a shower change out his work clothes then went to the kitchen to make a cup of mint tea but after one sip he had no feeling for it anymore resting it on the counter he pick up the phone and call Gabriela home, Rena answer he ask how Gabriela was doing he would have talk to her but she was out with the others he too should be out looking but he need to think and figure something out Rena could tell he was worried she heard it in his voice when he came on the phone Rena heard him sigh when she told him Gabriela was not doing so good
"They're still out there looking" he said
"I know" Rena said
Steven said good night promising to call back
"OK " Rena said
Steven hang up the phone walking to the living room he sat on the sofa he didn't think he could ever sleep he even have work tomorrow it was also two in the morning his little girl was out there by herself and they didn't know where else to look he thought about Gabriela he want was to go back but something was keeping him from moving Sophie had left him for bed from he went to Adam room he wasn't sure if she was asleep or not when he went to take a shower, he was just glad she wasn't up in his face, he can't believe Sophie to think Gabriela could have the heart to let something happen to her child, he was just upset when he said all those things he know he shouldn't have but when he remember he have not seen her a wake in a few days thinking what if he should never see her again, his heart skip a beat, and he stretch out on the sofa laying as still as could.
Stevia had found her way to the three house after a while playing in the sand bed with Adam toys because the door open so easily she got in but falls a sleep she woke up finding her self in the dark and alone "mommy" she cried out and lassie started barking Steven must have doze off for the dog loud barking cause him to jump to his feet at first he believe it was them out there looking for stevia but he remember that lassie was a viscous guard dog and he couldn't get near no one he didn't know he was a dog train to kill anything apart from them that move he had never has bugler since he move in a few months now but the way the dog was barking he got furious took up his phone and went out the back door he whistle for lassie to come but he didn't he look around and later find him in the garden where Adam has his play things he knowtist that they were out of place and Adam would never leave it that way but he believe lassie was the one then again lassie was never seen playing here, "hey boy what's wrong?" He ask bending beside him rubbing his neck but that didn't stop him from barking, stevia had stop crying for a while for she feel her way to her box of almost empty cereal and started eating the little house was dark just the back light shine through a crack at the roofing, Steven wonder what in gods name could he be barking like that for thinking it must be some small animal in the tree, the door to the tree House was close he didn't think nothing could get in but he was push by a hunch to just check he climb up a little and pulled open the door in the small dark space he knew some thing move, and turn his light from his phone on,
"Mommy" the small voice said cause Steven to get the light closer, it was then he saw pumpkin, "oh my god" Steven said to him self breathing a sigh of relieve "pumpkin" he said calmly didn't want to frighten her,
"Daddy" pumpkin said coming out of the shadow crawling to Steven, he didn't move until she was in his arms and he wrapped them around her kissing her she giggle resting on his shoulder "daddy" she said again Steven smile she has only her box of cereal in her hand that didn't have anything more than dust, he was thinking she must be hungry taking her inside lassie follow him inside the sound of his loud barking woke Selena who came out her room, Sophie and Adam who came down from upstairs
"Is that pumpkin?" Selena ask coming over to where Steven stand with the little girl,
"Is she alright daddy" Adam ask
"It look that way" Steven said he smile taking the empty box from her setting her to her feet "doggy dog" she said running to lassie, Steven Selena and Adam reach for her but already she was hugging the dog at his neck his whining was more of a friend than a enemy, he lick her hand bark and ran back down the passage going out,
Sophie didn't come near until lassie went put for the dog didn't like her one bit and she despise the creature
"How comes that dog of yours didn't attack her and he wants to bite my head off when ever he sees me how did she get in anyway?"
"Daddy I want milk" stevia said Sophie open his mouth "what did she say?" She ask but Steven ignore her, "Selena please get her some warm milk and some water as well I'll clean her up" he use his cellphone to call off the search team telling them it was OK to go home he thank them for their time, "daddy!" Sophie question herself in disgusted seeing Steven and Adam going off with pumpkin she shook her head hissing before going back to her room,
"Are you leaving?" Rena ask when she saw the fire men packing up,
"Yes mam" one answer
"We got strict orders from the Chief that we should go" the other said
"Does that mean we'll never find her?" Rena ask but none of the men standing before her could give an answer they just left Gabriela tears came more when everyone left at three in the morning and her daughter wasn't found, Rena tries to comfort her but she was unable to stop crying, after they were gone fifteen minutes and over the phone in the living room rand Raymond answer and Steven ask to talk to Gabriela, he hand her the phone it was Steven on the line when she said hello,
"Pumpkin is fine" he told her "she's with me I just found her in my back yard"
"Is she OK?" Gabriela ask and Rena rush to her side
"She's fine Gabriela she's perfectly fine"
"Are you going to take her?" She ask and from that question the others gather that they must have found pumpkin
But Steven had call the doctor to come telling Gabriela that he'll keep her for the rest of night and take her there in the morning and she should go ahead and get some sleep,
"OK" she said hanging up, she wipe her tears and sat down
"Pumpkin is with Steven" she said "he's keeping her for the time and she'll come in the morning, he said she's OK"
"Thank god" Rena said sitting next to Gabriela "but how did she find her way to his house she had never been there before"
"It doesn't matter now she's OK and I'm sure that Steven will look after her he's a father isn't he and then again he's a fire man" Raymond said "what we should do is get some sleep I'm sure he'll tell us what happened in the morning"
Gabriela couldn't close her eyes sleep wouldn't come anyway she lay waiting for day to peek it seems to take longer than any other morning she knows, when it did she jump up took a quick shower brush her teeth and went on the front porch
"The doctor had told Steven that the little girl wasn't hurt in anyway or was she traumatize she was OK she was in no danger what so ever for she didn't show any sign of devastation as if someone as lead her away the doctor believe she follow something or someone to ended up there but Steven wonder how did she get pass lassie and thank god she did he couldn't live knowing that his dog rip his daughter apart,
He was on his way to work when he take pumpkin home Adam and Selena follow him there saying they're going to visit Gabriela.
" mommy " pumpkin said running to the porch as Steven let her out the car,
"Oh pumpkin" Gabriela said falling to her knees "baby don't ever run off on me again" she beg hugging her Adam came to her side and she hug him telling him thanks for taking care of pumpkin they were all standing there unsure of how the story begins but it ended well for stevia was home and was safe for now that was all that matters,
"I'm running late for work much as I want to stay Gabriela I can't truck drivers are short staff and I have to be there if they need me"
Gabriela nod, "thank you" she said
"Its OK" he smile bending to kiss stevia she giggle "bye daddy see you later" Rena didn't miss the smile that creeps up on his face when pumpkin said daddy, he left with her waving and Rena invite Selena inside for stevia was already dragging off Adam.
Once they were inside they all sat down for everyone stayed home today
"I still don't know how pumpkin make it to the house she has never seen it before" Gabriela said
Only miss Sophie was home in the morning Adam and I had gone out most of the morning it was around midday when we got back and we didn't saw her
"We were on the front porch at midday when she ask for milk and I've only stay long enough to fix a slice of cheese between to slices of bread she was gone when I came back I look every where" Gabriela said "now I'm going to look like a bad mother" she cried
"It could happen to anyone my dear Gabriela and the doctor had told sir that she's fine, lassie was the only harm and he just bark a friendly bark"
"But you do have a pool outside right?" Rena ask
"Yes but sir Steven had kept it lock for he didn't want to risk Adam falling in and his wife don't really come out to the pool she and lassie hate each other very much" Selena said and Adam laugh to the fun of lassie rushing her every time she set foot outside
"Its good that sir had found her when he did he was so happy i don't know what would happened to him if he hadn't found her" Selena said
Rena look at Gabriela wondering what would have happened to her if her daughter wasn't found she live each day for her little girl she was her everything, the whole entire family would be devastated for stevia being the only girl in the household she light up their lives no one was able to resist her charms
After a while just sitting there Selena got up to leave they all walk to the porch just as they came out Sophie drove by in the car that look like that of Steven
"Daddy" stevia shout jumping up but it drove by the gate making her face fall Rena look at Gabriela who look surprise her daughter say that word it was her first time saying daddy make Rena wonder if Steven taught her,
Selena laugh well she must have believe that was sir Steven for since he find her in the night she's been saying that but that is Sophie she must have gone out for a while now that its nearly lunch time I should go fix her lunch" she take Adam hand they said goodbye,
Steven called twice from work on his way home he stop to see her,"daddy "stevia said Steven smile down at her picking her up " how are you pumpkin? " he ask
"I'm fine" she answer resting her head on his shoulder "daddy" she called again, "daddy I want to come for the dog"
Steven laugh "oh pumpkin" he said "you give everyone a scared you know"
"I look for you" she said Rena and the others look at them thinking it must have been so if only she could explain but she fall asleep when Gabriela take her he left walking around to the tree house to look inside he was too big to fit in standing comfortable so he just stay at the door and look stevia had make so many mess her chocolate covered finger print were very where, he sigh imaging if lassie had decided to harm her he shook the thoughts away taking the back door in he met Adam in the living room "don't you sleep?" Steven ask when Adam run to him he smile and hug him
"How about some cheese cake and guava juice?" Steven ask
"Sounds good to me dad"
Adam took a seat while his dad pour juice in two glass and cut the cheese in big slice's
"It seems pumpkin make a great mess in your tree house I'll have to clean it up before I go in the morning if you're up early we can do it together"
"OK dad"
When Adam woke in the morning his dad was ready for work and every thing back in place in the tree house the blankets that covered the sponge were hanging on the line and his sand bed clean and pack to how he kept it it was much neater than before pumpkin came
"When I came to get you this morning you look more tired than usual so I did it with out you" Steven smile hugging Adam
"That's OK dad" Adam said
"So I'll see you later" Steven said Adam nod hugging his father he walk him to the front door wait for him to go in to his car is waving when he drove off , Adam didn't have much to do thinking that he should ask his dad to go by and play with pumpkin, but he didn't ask instead he help Selena clean up and then study after studying for awhile he decided to watch some television he had just sat down and turn the television on when Sophie came to the living room turn it off and demand that Adam go to his room and give her space in the living room Adam got up taking the stair to his room from there he could hear her talking on the phone with the television on he cold tell she wasn't watching it because his room was on the other side of the living room he couldn't see it and he was really hoping to watch it, up to when Steven got home Sophie was still on the phone
"Adam" Steven called when he didn't see him in the living room
"Dad you came" he ask when he came out his room
"Come down here" he told him.
"Sophie who was just listening from her end of the line told the person talking continuously that she was going to call back end the call and get up to face Steven
" why that each time you came in that door Adam is the first person you call am I not your wife? " Sophie ask "you act as thou I'm not here taking me for granted spending all your time with Adam"
"He's my son what am I to do neglect him and pretend he's not here? You can do that Sophie but I can't"
I know you don't care for me Steven for all I am to you is your door mat you and I don't even spend quality time together its from work to your dear Adam now that bitch daughter Gabriela is that her name how did her child came to be calling you dad anyway? and her mother what's between you and her don't you ever made time for me?"
"Don't argue about time Sophie your time is spend beautifying yourself shopping and doing make up as of you were told that you are the prettiest woman god ever made well you're not Sophie"
"And she is" she snapped
Steven ignore her sitting with Adam once he join him, upset Sophie stamp her way to the room, Selena came out once Sophie was gone "sir I figured that miss Sophie don't know yet that the little girl is your daughter"
"Its best we don't tell her yet"
"OK sir but I want to tell you that since miss Gabriela and her family work I'm thinking that after school I can take care of miss pumpkin until miss Gabriela came in the evening"
"Yes dad we can play for some time"
"Let me talk with her" he told them both he know Sophie won't be able to stand to another child in the house more so if she learn she's his child,
Steven make sure Adam was asleep before going to his room he shower then join Sophie in bed its a while they haven't make love if it haven't been for her going off on him earlier he would make love to her he knew she probably wouldn't turn him down for much as she didn't want children she didn't hold back on sex, he falls a sleep dreaming of Gabriela naked body beneath him when he open his eyes and find he was only dreaming for Sophie was next to him stevia was a sleep when he got to the house Rena had told her he could see her in her room he was standing inside the room when Gabriela came from the bathroom in just her underwear Steven eyes widened on seeing her Gabriela wasn't expecting him to be in her room she back her way to the bathroom to wrap a towel around her, he was gone when she came out, she didn't know why she wasn't dress again but she was naked to her pantie tonight again he took the privileged to watch her dress in her short and strapless blouse before going out he was in the living room when she came she heard Rena ask him if he was OK and he told her he has a slight headache Gabriela look at him she would probably ask him if they've been talking better.
"Headache? Nothing a cup of ginger mint can't fix, would you like a cup?" Gabriela as
Steven turn around to look at her nod she got up to make the tea with some vegetable and cheese salad he thank her have the most of it leaving right after,
He was heading home from his run Saturday morning stevia was excited to see him when he came in the gate he stoop to meet her when she ran and jump on him he stumbled on the ground both laughing, they were both rolling over in the grass with stevia on her back and Steven lay half way across her pinned her to the ground tickling her body parts that she was afraid of Gabriela came out to see her in the grass it wasn't even an hour since she wash it and comb it together
"Pumpkin honey" Gabriela called they both look Rena turn to see Gabriela standing on the porch
"You're going to get grass in your hair" she said
"So what of she get grass in her hair Gabriela it's not like its going to grow there" Steven said
"What do you Steven Scott, PR maybe because I'm so immature I don't know anything?" Gabriela ask
"Yeah" Steven said getting up "something like that but not only are you immature Gabriela you're careless too" Steven said to her "come on pumpkin let's go to my house where no one will bother us there" he take pumpkin taking her slippers off the step lifting her up to put them on her feet "say by to aunt" he said stevia wave to Rena they were out the gate when she start running with Steven closely behind Gabriela grumble and growl,
"Pumpkin still with Steven?" Rena ask when she came from shopping in the evening
"Yes she's still with him" Gabriela answer
"I actually thought that you two were getting a long better" Rena said
"Well you thought wrong" Gabriela told her, "I don't know how I'm going to live with him being so close to me and pumpkin he's bend on driving me crazy"
"He's a nice guy Gabriela and he really loves pumpkin" Rena said
"He's just doing all he can to get to me that's all there is to it"
"What is it with you and him, he's Pumpkin's father shouldn't you be getting a long?"
"He's her father yes but we won't get along we have no reason to get along" Gabriela said
"I still can't believe Steven Scott is Pumpkin's father"
"Her name is actually stevia" Gabriela said
"You name her after him?" Rena ask in surprise
"I didn't actually Tell him he just found out it was so it was what make him so angry at me, he wants to take full responsibility and be a father to her, he is the one who's sending me to finish my study to become a nurse, he said he'll see to all stevia needs until I got a job"
"But it is good you get the chance to do it, and you won't turn it down now will you?"
"No" Gabriela shook her head "not this time I won't when I do this finish and get a job I'll let mom and dad feel a little better for they had spend a lot of money to send me and instead of a degree I bring home a baby"
Rena laugh "don't worry Gabriela mom and dad love pumpkin we all love pumpkin she's like a gift let her be OK"
"I wouldn't have stand so strong if I didn't have you for a sister in-law" she hug her kissing her cheek,
Dinner been over for over on hour but still Steven didn't take pumpkin home or have he called to say anything Gabriela had season her beef for the strew cooked her red pea's half cooked the beans after that she and Rena put the children to bed
"Why isn't he back yet?" Gabriela question it was already nine o'clock
"He probably just need some time with her Gabriela" Rena said "since its both your pumpkin you are going to have to let him have his time with her, pumpkin may have grown on your farm but he's the one who planted it, it simple means you'll have to share half and half.
Gabriela laugh Rena haven't seen her laugh so hard before after they said goodnight Gabriela went to take a shower Rena was on the stairs going up when the door knock, Steven came with pumpkin sleeping on his shoulder
" sorry I'm so late I had stop by my family " he told her
Rena figure it was to show off his daughter,
That's alright you already know where to put her right?"
Steven nod handing Rena the two bags he held in his hand, she take them and he thank her, he went to Gabriela's room and she take the things off to the kitchen,
"Who was that at the door?" Raymond ask when he came down he had come to see what was taking Rena so long to join him in bed,

Selena and Adam nod,
"Dad you didn't come home last night till after two in the morning did you work the night shift too are was it something?" Adam ask with a smile

Steven eyes widened as he got up leaning on the counter to finish his cereal and oatmeal raisin bread taking big bites and swallows he quickly wash his dish he look them both as he walk to the door "and mine your business, both of you" he said turning back to kiss Adam

"Have a good day sir"
Just before the door closes Steven heard them giggled and couldn't help his smile,
The Simmons place was close up no one was home Steven wonder if they all had gone to the beach but he saw Raymond car and the van Mr and Mrs Simmons drove park outside at the community Church and he could swear he saw Gabriela inside wearing a bright pink what look like a dress he couldn't stop to see time was beating down on him,but  he was right about Gabriela in church in the pink dress for it was the same pink he'd saw her in when he stop bye after work,
He and Gabriela exchanged look when he walk in but quickly his attention shift to stevia who came running to him for him to pick her up,

Monday it was back to school again Gabriela was waiting for a drive when Steven comes stopping at her feet he had filled in for some one the day before in the morning but was back to his time today because of that he decided to drop Adam and give Selena a ease,

Can't we like go spend the day somewhere in a hotel maybe we could go to a guess house have a day just us"
