The Project

"Uh, my head." Daniel said, " What happened?" Daniel looked around, everyone was nearby. Mink sat up. "Guys, where are we?" Mink asked. Everyone sat up. Their eyes widened. They were in a medieval world. "How did this happen?" Ender asked. No one cared. They just got up and walked toward a castle nearby. When they got there a man was waiting. "Ah! Welcome friends of N!" said the man, "I am King Lukas of the land of Minthina. N told me that you'll need help on your journey to save your world." Everyone was confused. N was here? What did that mean? That's what they all thought. Ender was the only one to speak. "If N was here, why didn't he stay to meet us?" Ender asked, mad that his friend wouldn't be here. "So sorry, he had to go meet with some other people that will help you," said King Lukas. Daniel wasn't listening at this point. He was just thinking of why they were here, and why them. Of all people, the outcasts. "You see young Daniel, you and your friends need to save people's imagination." said King Lukas, "Before it's lost forever. We call it, Project I.M.A.G.I.N.A.T.I.O.N" Daniel was amazed. Did King Lukas read his mind? Or was that a lucky guess? Then the King clapped his hands three times. A girl wearing a white robe with a floral pattern came holding a black chest with a gold lock and a strange symbol. "I have presents for you all!" the king said, "First Daniel, I give you a custom version of APEX armor from Transformers and an enchanted sword." The girl opened the chest, the items the king said came floating out of the chest, straight to Daniel. "Next Ender, I give to you a minigun, literally a mini-gun, and Fallout power armor," King Lukas said as, again the items came floating out of the chest, " Shaymen, to you, I give a Jedi Robe and a Yellow Lightsaber." The items floated to Shaymen. Shaymen put on the robe, pulling the hood over his head, and igniting the Lightsaber. Mink shook her head. The king looked at her. Nothing came from the chest. "Tysin, to you, I give these gloves, based off of Wolverine's claws." The gloves floated out of the chest, right onto Tysin's hands. Daniel looked at all of the stuff he got, then threw it all on the ground. "I'm sorry, I can't accept these," Daniel said. Then he ran off. Ender started to chase him, but Mink stopped him. "I'll talk to him," Mink said. Then she ran off to get him.

Daniel kept running, everything that happened to him, flashing in his mind, over and over again. 'Why is this happening to me?' Daniel thought, 'Of all people, me!' He stopped at the bottom of a hill. It was pretty steep, but Daniel didn't quit there, he started to run up the hill. Once he got to the top, he fell to his knees. He started to cry. "Why is, this, happening?" he said to himself. Mink walked up behind him. "It's because you're human." she said, "Wait, that's not right, or is it? I'm not good at this stuff." She sat down beside him. He got off his knees and sat down too. "So, why did you run away?" Mink asked. Daniel looked down at his shoes. He started to talk, but his voice was too soft and muffled. "Sorry, didn't catch that, could you speak up?" Mink said, jokingly. Daniel lifted his head, Mink could see the tears in his eyes. "You won't understand!" he yelled at her, "My parents and my best friend were arrested! Now I'm trapped here!" Mink looked away from Daniel. "Well, at least you knew your parents." Mink said, "Also, my friend's in the same place as yours." Mink started to cry. Daniel looked at her. "I-I'm sorry. I completely forgot." Daniel said, "I guess I'm the one who doesn't understand." Mink wiped the tears from her face, "No, you're not the one who doesn't understand, we both aren't." She said with a smile. They smiled as they got up, and started to walk back to the castle. "Hey, Mink?" Daniel said, "Are you really sure that this is a good idea?" Mink laughed, "Of course. If we're going to go with the others we might as well get in a small favor."
