Kado kept driving, Yani was in the car and he was not risking her safety.
Chris called him, "What you want us to do with them?"
"Bring em to the office. I'll be there in 20"
"Aight" he said and hung up.
Kado pulled into the driveway and locked the doors

"Let me out" Yani said calmly
"Talk to me, tell me how you feeling" He said turning around.
"I'm good, can I go now."
"You know I would never purposely put you in harms way... but this happens in my line of work"
"Quit" She said looking at her phone
"I can't just quit, and even if I did it would still be niggas after me. They want what I got and they won't stop until they have it." He said taking her phone
"Well then maybe I can't do this"
"Do what?"
"This" She said pointing to the two of them.
"Yeah ok. You're mine and you've already been seen with me... so you're a target just like me." He said looking at her
Yani started crying, "I don't want to die... I've already been through too much."
"So emotional, That's my son." He said under his breath. "Look baby, as long as I'm alive, you're safe. Im going to always put you first. I got you, aight?"
He said looking into her eyes

"Okay baby" She said wiping her tears
"Yanelle..."
"Yes?"
"Are you pregnant?"
Yani just looked away. "I don't know, I haven't tested yet."
Kado touched her belly, "It's okay son, I know you there." He said laughing
Yani slapped his hand away. "Can we eat now?"
"I gotta take care of them niggas that just tried that shit, I'll pick you up some food on the way back?"
"No I'll go babe it's okay."
Kado got out and opened the back door. He grabbed Yani by her waist and looked down at her.
"I love you, call me on your whole way there."
"Okay.." she said looking at him
"'Matter of fact, Cmon, I'm not letting you go alone."
"Babe, I'll be fine. I'm going to pick up a test too."
Kado stared at her
"Call me whenever you get out the car"
"I didn't know I had another father." She said
"Nah, your father the one who raised ya. Im ya daddy, the one who take care of you"

Yani giggled and grabbed her purse grabbing her keys out of it and started to walk to her car.

"Where you going!?" Kado said with his hands out
"Bae, I just told you!"
"So we leaving without kisses? Bet" he said getting in his all red Range Rover.

"Nooo." She said running to his car and opening the door kissing all over his face.

"That's more like it, now go eat and hurry home." He said slapping her ass.

Yani called Kado but he didn't answer, she figured he was taking care of business.

She walked into Target and went toward the health section. She wanted to get the test first and then the food so it would still be hot when she got home. (Smart bitch)

She turned down the aisle that had the pregnancy tests, condoms and lubes in it.

Funny how they got the pregnancy tests right below the condoms. Don't use the condoms and you'll be right back here selecting from the bottom row. 🙄

She was looking at the options; digital, target brand, a three pack and so on.

"I don't know..." she mumbled reaching for the digital and the first response tests.

When she stood up she bumped into a woman.

"I'm so sorry, here let me help you." She said bending down the pick up the woman's pregnancy tests.

"It's okay, thank you." The woman said bending down as well.

"Here you g-" Yani said making eye contact with the woman..

"Yani, Yani, Yani" She said putting her hands on her hip and grinning.

"Amiyah?" Yani said mugging her
"Yup, that's me boo. Funny seeing you here in this aisle..."
"Hmm, I guess." Yani said looking at the tests in her hand
"Let me guess... Kado's?" Amiyah said shifting her weight to her hip.
"And if it is?! Fuck are you so concerned for" Yani said rolling her neck
"Oh no reason... just wanted to know if my baby would have a baby sis or bro on the way." She said blowing a kiss and switching off.

Yani was pissed, I didn't get with him to play step mommy or be in no baby mama ass drama.

Yani picked up the the box that had a mix selection of digital, standard, and quick response pregnancy tests. She went to the front and checked out.

Yani left and went to Chipotle, grabbing her favorites and made her way home. Kado was DEFINITELY about to hear her mouth tonight.

"Nigga go home, we got this." Squeak said shooting an arm into a the cement mix like it was a basketball.

Kado shook his head and left the basement and went to shower and change clothes and afterwards was on his way home...
