Payton's P.O.V
"Shawn were fucking lost" I say looking out the window at the street sign we've passed abut 3 times now.
"I understand that" he says pulling onto the side of the road.
"hey but you want know something?" I say smirking at him. He glances at me and shrugs
"what" he says.
"there are these things. These Awesome, smart things, called phones. And you can use them to find where you want to go. They really are something else" I say pulling out my phone.
"then why didn't you go on your phone ten minutes ago when I said we were lost" he says. I laugh and glance up at him
"I wanted to see how long it would take you to pull over" I say starting the directions, which said we were about 5 minutes away from the Zoo.
"you, are a cruel, cruel person" he says laughing.
"oops, sorry not sorry, now drive. I want to see the giraffes" I say, he rolls his eyes and starts to drive the direction the GPS told him to. It was starting to get really awkward so I turned on the Radio and 'perfect' by Ed Sheeran was on (were just going to pretend that Shawn isn't famous in 2018 okay J)
"bro this my song" Shawn says turning it up. I laugh and look out the window at the signs for the Zoo.

I hear Shawn quietly sing next to me. I glance at him to see he's already looking at me
"what" I smile. he shakes his head and looks down at his lap
"nothing" he smiles. I stay quiet, listening to him quietly sing to himself, until we pull into the parking lot of the Zoo. He turns the car off and looks at me.
"you ready?" he smiles. I nod and grab my phone and wallet. We start to walk up to the entrance
"you have an amazing voice by the way" I say looking up at him
"it's not that great, but thanks" he says smiling as we walk up to where we get the tickets
"2 please" he says.
"$32 even" she says. I go to get money out my wallet but before I can Shawn has already paid
"you low-key fucking piss me off" I say. he smirks at me and grabs the tickets from the lady
"thank you" I say to her.
"fine, since you paid for me. twice. I'm buying you dinner. When we leave here" I say. he scoffs and nods
"I'm not letting you buy me dinner, were going to get food. But you're not paying" he says.
"bet" I say. he stops and looks at me before shaking his head
"bet" he says. I roll my eyes and continue walking to the gate. (I've only been to the zoo once so bear with me if I have no idea what I'm talking about)
I hand the lady my ticket, she scans it and hands it back to me
"have a great time" she smiles at me, I walk through the gate and turn around, she does the same for Shawn. He catches up to me and smiles
"okay so, I've never been here so let's just follow everyone else" he says smiling a goofy smile. I nod and start walking next to him. We end up following an everyone else to a trail where the animal habitats start
"look it's the monkeys" I say getting a little too excited. I grab Shawn's hand and pull him towards the glass that's divided the animals from us
"woah slow down" he says laughing. I look at the monkeys climbing on the trees and look back at Shawn
"they're so cute Shawn I want one" I say. he grins at me and shrugs
"you have fun with that" he says looking around. I look back at the monkeys one more time before turning back around to face Shawn.
"you're very excited for this aren't you" he smiles at me, I smile and look down at my feet
"yeah" I mumble. I feel his hand go under my chin, slowly lifting my face up to him
"don't get all shy on me now" he grins. I nod and look around and see a sign for a penguin Show
"BRO THEY GOT PENGUINS" I scream. Running towards the sign, Shawn follows me and we go and watch the penguins for a while. Then we just walk around until it starts to get darkish
"we've been here all day and I still haven't seen any Giraffes" I say rolling my eyes. Shawn chuckles before stepping behind me and covering my eyes with his hands
"what are you doing" I say
"you got to trust me alright?" he says, I can tell he's smirking
"I don't trust you at all but okay" I say. he starts guiding me somewhere, after about a minute of walking, kind of tripping a couple of times, we stop.
"okay, ready?" he says, I nod. he uncovers my face and I look up seeing that I'm face to face with a fucking Giraffe.
