Chapter 36| Welcome To Seven Heights Academy

I should be used to this by now. I mean, let's face it, who expects to suddenly meets her life's end only to start a new one ? I should be used to this contradicting happenings.

Simon smiled, happy he was chosen. I, on the other hand, was unsure how to feel about this. Should I be happy that I get a chance to change my opinion of Simon ? Or should I stay mad at him for stealing my first kiss ?

I honestly don't know.

I stood at the stage rigidly, staring at Simon as he stood beside me. He was unpredictable, that's for sure. He had these friendly aura surrounding him until the moment he pulled me and kissed me, as if it was a natural thing to do. I felt myself twitch at the thought of him. It was obvious he left an impression on me, bad or not.

Simon continued to smile at the crowd as I forced myself to do the same. No point leaving a bad impression in front of the student body. Sir August continued to speak as I endured the crippling feeling of unease.

Finally, Sir August finished his speech. I sighed in relief as he instructed the new students to go to the lobby before he dismissed the student body. Simon turned to me for the first time and smiled while reaching out for my right hand.

I furrowed my eyebrows as he bowed and kissed the back of my hand.

"I truly am sorry, Rein" he said sadly before standing up and left. I stood there, gaping. It was good thing everyone had already left or I would have looked like a fool. Too bad my hopes were crushed when Godric tapped my shoulder.

"Well, that was unexpected" he commented while grinning cheekily.

"You saw ?" I inquired and I received a nod. I sighed and looked the boy again. I must have looked like a idiot, gaping at Simon's act of apology. Before I could convince Godric to stay quiet about this matter, he spoke.

"How about a stroll to the lobby, what do you say ?" He asked, his grin not disappearing. I rose an eyebrow but agreed.

"Sure, why not ?" I shrugged slightly. We left the gymnasium and headed towards the lobby.

"So.." Godric started, "do you want me to keep quiet about this matter ?" He looked like he wanted to add more but decided against it.

"Yes please !" I said a bit too enthusiastically. He laughed as I blushed pink.

"You never seize to make me laugh, Rein" He said as he wipe a few tears from laughing.

"Oh shut it you" I said while glaring at the boy.

We arrived at the lobby and with grins plastered on our faces, we said goodbye.
