A/N: I'm reaching the end of the book...

~Jane's POV~

It's been a good six months since the expedition and Petra's death. I was in the courtyard alone and I couldn't stop thinking about Levi. His stupid, smug, cute  face. His lips that have been on  mine many times, they're chapped but somehow soft. I need to get a grip! He's standing in my way of freedom, I can't fall in love. I'm NOT in love! I started to do the very thing that calms me down.... sing.

I  leaned against the wall and my mind was running marathons. One thing kept echoing in my head, I am in love with Levi .  I need to tell him but how?  Suddenly,  I heard footsteps headed my way and I saw Armin coming into view. He was holding an envelope.

"Jane, Marcus sent us a letter!", he proclaimed.

"To both of us? Let's open it", I said as I took out my  leaf blade necklace.

I unsheathed the blade and glided it along the fold of the envelope, closed the necklace  and took out the letter to read it.

~~The letter~~

Dear Armin and Jane,

 I hope this letter finds you both in good health. Given the recent events, I have been well. I apologize for causing you to worry, but Petra meant the world to me. And that is why I request an urn containing her remains, I wish to be reunited with my Amber eyed angelic daisy. When I heard of Petra's death I attempted to end it all, but Annie stopped me.

She knocked some sense into me and I realized the reason why I'm alive. I am supposed to protect my family and I can't do that from a grave. I have news, I have found love again. I hope to see you all at the capital very soon.

I hear talk of the Female titan being in our very backyard. I hope you stay safe out there, protecting humanity. Jan is stationed behind wall Sina and we see each other often, she misses you guys and is courting Marco. I hope you all visit soon and keep an eye out for the traitor in our midst.

Sincerely,

M. Arlert

~~~End of Letter~~~
"He attempted what!?", I shrieked.
"I'm just as surprised as you, Jane", said Armin. "I never knew he would think of something like that."
"What happened?", asked a voice I recognized as Levi.
"Read for yourself, Captain", I said as I hand him the letter.
Levi reads the letter and his eyes widen.
" He didn't", was all Levi said.
"He did, keep reading", I said.
Levi kept reading and looked at me like he had a plan.  We prepared Petra's urn prior to this in case some one wanted her remains, Like her parents or Marcus.
"I guess we're headed to the capital", Levi commented. "Best tell Erwin about it."
"I'll do it, Captain", volunteered Armin.
He left me alone with Levi, which wasn't so awkward. I felt Levi's strong arms around me as I was pulled into his chest. I blushed deeply as he did so. I melted into his touch as he held me.
