I skipped the last few days of school, I tried to hide away in my room, away from my parents, my siblings, away from everyone. School’s out for the summer. Sophie keeps coming over, I don’t see her, my parents try to get me to come out. But I just need time, time to adjust, time to think, time to control these feelings. I would think that I’d need to relearn my power but downstairs mostly there, no where as strong as they once were.
I’ve heard Ethan’s voice down stairs a few times, I wouldn’t come out for him either. I don’t think I could deal with seeing him. Not now that I know, not with what he used to be, my beloved, the queen that stood by my side when I needed her most.
