"But I know that everything will be alright. I'll be here watching you fearlessly love and care for the people around you, like you we're made for it. Because everyone knows that. Whether they just saw you cry for the boy who got in trouble for stealing food or they've just met you or they've known you for so long that just by being you, you changed their whole life. "

Savannah was almost halfway through her night shift. It was 2 o'clock in the morning and the ER has finally died down. Some days it gets crowded past midnight, some days its like this. Savannah definitely preferred this. There weren't much patients and it was quiet. Almost peaceful. At least this way she knows there's not much people that are hurt.

Savannah held the thermometer through the five year old patient's ear.

"His temperature has gone down. We'll just keep an eye on him but he should be fine soon, I'll let you know when you....." She tells the mother who was concerned but she could not finish her sentence when the emergency door slides open and instantly all everyone could hear was the sound of a baby crying on the top of her lungs.

"Somebody page Peters and Karev!" Almost peaceful. She thought.

That distinct voice made Savannah stop from telling the patient the next words. She immediately looks for the voice, her eyes catching his, her heart started pounding.
