Savannah shoved her hands inside the pockets of her navy coat as she and her brother walked inside Seattle International Airport at 3 o'clock in the morning.
"Why is your flight at 4 am? Who does that?" She asks as they both stand in front of check in desk.
"Time difference and being a dad does that." Eric chuckles putting down his duffle bag on the ground.
"Well you're a great dad." The siblings smile at each other.
"Hey Sav," he sighs looking at her face, contemplating whether to continue. But he does it anyway because he knows that she needs to hear this.
"I know its been four years, and I know that for me that might be a long time while it could still feel like it was yesterday for you. But I also don't know how much you're hurting still. Remember what dad always used to say? Time doesn't stop. Time is precious." He looks at her intently with concern in his eyes. He lets out a soft breath trying to place himself in his sisters situation. Her face changing by the words he said.
