The darkness watched as Mary desperately pulled at the bonds that held her arms at her back.
"Your struggles are pointless," he informed her as he paced back and forth in the dark cave, "they will not come off not unless I order them to do so."
"SET ME FREE," Mary screeched causing his last remaining demon to go flying toward the cave wall.
"I am going to destroy you Fergus, heaven help me if its the last thing I do I will destroy you."
The darkness slowed stopping inches away from Mary and smiled a smile full of razor sharp teeth.
"Ah now you see that is where you would be wrong," he said, continuing to smile,"I am not Fergus," he watched as disbelief flared in her eyes.
"It is true he is here, this is his form but he is weak, pathetic choosing to hide within. Although I have to say he is rather active at the moment, oh the things he would like to do to you, he really is quite depraved."
The darkness continued his pacing, it was true Fergus was actually causing him to shudder with his thoughts.
Let me come out, Fergus was hissing I want to play with the bitch, continuing to assault their mind with all his vile images.
Abaddon pushed Fergus back down, he could not let him free, he could not be trusted. This was his last chance or he would be forced to flee this body before it was dragged to hell where he was sure his sister lay waiting.
But Mary didn't need to know this, "maybe I should bring him forward, would you like that? to be reunited after all this time I know he is very keen to be with you again."
Mary briefly shuddered but raised her chin in defiance.
"Do as you will, I to am quite keen."
The darkness smiled, Mary had grown quite strong if he were able to safely flee to another host he would gladly set her free and leave Fergus with her he was quite sure who the victor would be.
The last demon limped back into view clutching its bottle tightly to its chest never taking his eyes from him. Abaddon could feel the hatred this vile creature had for him.
The creature continued slowly toward him slowly reaching for the stopper in its bottle.
Abaddon blew out an agitated breath he was becoming so tired of this place with its nasty little inhabitants. As the small demon neared, Abaddon smiled, encouraging it to come closer, as it did Abaddon lifted one clawed foot and stamped down hard. The sound of bones breaking filled the cave as the small demon crumbled to a heap on the floor.
"Vile little creatures," he said to the sounds of Mary gagging in the corner.
"Now then what to do with you?" he sneered towards Mary, truth be told he was not to sure of his next move. He had been so furious on his to return after finding his little librarian had fled, only to find the child had somehow escaped killing one of his demons in the process. He had been seconds from tearing the last small demon apart when Mary had literally fallen into his lap.
"Do as you wish Fergus," Mary spat, "I am not scared of you anymore."
So she still choose to believe he was the vile creature Fergus, "so be it," he said his voice stone cold. He let his claws descend, felt his razor sharp teeth grow unbelievably sharper as he made his way towards her. If it was Fergus she wanted it was Fergus she would get.
*****************
How on earth do I keep getting myself into these messes, Mary thought for the hundredth time, as she pulled hopelessly on the bonds at her arms.
