Chapter 9

Kaitlin's POV:

"Hey Hayes." I said smiling bright.

"Hey. Thank you for coming... I ordered for you!"

"Oh my. you didn't have to do that." I said. I feel bad he payed for me after what i did to him.

"So um... I'm really sorry about yesterday. I really need to explain."

Hayes POV:

"So um... I'm really sorry about yesterday. I really need to explain." She started. I could see the regret in her face. Her beautiful face.

"So um... Before I met you I had a boyfriend. His name was Ricky. He ended up cheating on me with my bestfriend. I was heartbroken. So when I met you... I was scared that I would fall for you and I'm scared of getting hurt again. So that's why I pulled away. You live so far away and I just can't get hurt again. Then at the pool I felt bad so I kissed you. When we were... Kissing after I started to remember everything with Ricky and he told me that no one would love me and I would just get hurt again. I was scared. I didn't want to fall for you so I left. There's nothing wrong with you. It's just that I'm not ready. I'm so so sorry." She explained.

This all made so much more sense.

Kaitlin's POV:

I explained my story. In his eyes I could see that he understood.

"It's okay. I understand. So, where do we stand?" He stuttered. This really made me think. I have no idea. I want him to be mine but I'm scared.

I simply shrugged and smiled. "Hey maybe we could hang out?" I asked.

"I have a room to myself. We could chill and watch Netflix." I suggested. He nodded yes and we entered the hotel. We got to my room. I closed the door behind him. "Shit." I thought to myself. This room was a disaster. "Sorry it's so messy." I said shoving everything in a corner. He winked and I started to blush.

He sat on my bed. I sat beside him and grabbed my laptop. We scrolled through the movies until we decided on 'that's my boy'. It was hilarious.

Hayes POV:

The movie ended and it was so funny. When it ended I looked over at Kaitlin. The room was pretty dark. The only light was through the computer screen. I could see her beautiful face. She had fallen .asleep with her head on my chest. "Awe" I thought.

I checked my phone and saw it was 11:30pm. I had 2 texts from Nash.

Nash😜: Bro where are you?

Nash😜: WHERE IS U AT BOY!!!

I decided I should reply.

Hayes: hey man. Sorry. I was watching a movie. I'm in Kaitlin's hotel I'm stayin at her room tonight.

I locked my phone and put her laptop on the other bed. I layed down and soon enough I was asleep.
