MERA

ESCAPE

she blew off the candle and made for me. I saw Mum screaming on top of her voice. I was thrown again, this time down to the floor and lifted up again. I couldn't scream again, I was tired. I saw her coming closer, it was already the end I thought. Suddenly I had an idea
"Mum open the curtain!" I shouted.
She stared at me "what?"
I cursed "the curtain! Open it"
The dead girl glared at me, if the white white eyes could turn to red I knew it would but I needed no soothsayer to tell me she was furious. Then I knew I was doing the right thing.
"Open the curtain, let the light in" I cried louder this time.
She fell for the distraction, it was now that mum heard, she immediately made for the curtain. The dead girl turned her attention from me, then turned to mum as she reached the curtain. But before she raised her hand mum opened the curtain and I watched her vanish from my sight. At once, I began to descend fast. The doctor rushed and took me into his arms.
"Mera?" He asked
"I'm alive" I murmured, my hair falling over my face.
"What?"
But I couldn't repeat what I said as I slipped slowly into blankness.
