Later that Night, Apartment Rooftop
The rain had long since subsided, but the roof was still damp. The blanket underneath Ruby and Weiss hardly helped, but at least it was something.
"You really think he'll offer me a job?" Weiss asked, sipping her tea carefully. It was still somehow hotter than lava, despite Ruby having made it back down in her own apartment. "I can't fathom what it'll be like!"
"You won't have to deal with any more people dipping your hair in their drinks!" Ruby chuckled, reminiscing about their first meeting. "But the kid, I think his name was Oscar or something, said that his dad tells him every day to look for talent, and you're the first he's told his dad about!"
"Well the boy knows his stuff I hope." She let out a nervous laugh, then a shivering sigh. "Why are we up on the roof? It's so cold with all the moisture!"
"Well I happen to have the perfect solution!" Ruby produced a warm, woolen blanket from her duffel bag and proceeded to wrap it around Weiss and herself. Weiss laughed and panted a kiss on Ruby's cheek, which Ruby returned happily. Weiss' phone began to ring its muffled tone beneath the blanket, utterly ruining the moment between the two.
Weiss wigged her hand out from under the pile of wool and answered her phone with a quick and musical "hello". Ruby looked on as Weiss' face lit up, her responses only able to be a few words in length. "Yes sir. Not at all! Tomorrow? Gladly!" When the phone let her ear, a grin took its place. "The man wants to see me in tomorrow for an audition!"
"Really?" Ruby's face lit up, matching the skyline surrounding them. Weiss' eyes told her everything, and a passionate kiss celebrated the potential future ahead of them.
