The following is an adaptation of two stories I wrote, entirely by hand, over the summer a few years ago. I will likely change a lot of the story in order to make it appeal to an audience larger than just myself, and the reader (you) may find it to be a more philosophically realistic Pokémon while still maintaining the simplistic safety common to the series. Heavy morals, nothing near graphic.
I do not own anything but my own philosophy. I would love to display art of the characters I depict in my story, so please tell me if you would like me to consider your image of the protagonist and his Pokémon.
Introducing: the Stella region. Just a setting with a common name, common lives...
The Stella region was discovered nearly a century after the industrialization of the Kanto and Johto regions, and quickly grew cities to rival the sprawling metropolis cities found in either region. Like them, however, it imposed great restrictions on how much of the grand wilderness spanning the region could be changed and civilized. After the accidental introduction of foreign Pokémon to the region by adventurous Trainers, its indigenous species gradually died out or migrated permanently away as the region became more populated by Pokémon native to Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn.
Pokémon are, however, just as central to life as they ever have been... with the exception of those who live in the cities, as they rarely see anything besides numerous Ratatta and the occasional nest of Zubat.
This story will explore the life of a young orphan, Liam Jamesson, after he leaves the mid-city orphanage that held his dreams dormant for so long.
All input is welcome!
I don't have much else to say here, besides another open statement that I'd love to display art that depicts my characters (with full shout-outs, art website links, etc.). I might commission actual cover art if I complete both major halves of this story, too...More importantly, I hope you enjoy this brainchild of mine.
Edit: A few years later, and I've tentatively decided to start using Wattpad again. I've been writing for a long while now and have some new projects and ideas; I hope I find the time to write, and I hope you enjoy whatever I'm able to create!
